Take an open-top bus and enjoy panoramic views of the Fine City of Norwich with a fascinating recorded commentary along the way on the history and background of what was once the largest walled city in Europe. Take the opportunity to hop-on and hop-off at any of the 9 different stops along the route to further explore some of the wonderful attractions of this beautiful mediaeval city!
Awayadays is run by husband and wife team David and Beryl McMaster who are tourism professionals and passionate ambassadors for Norfolk. David was a Director of VisitNorwich and Chairman of Norwich Attractions and is committed to promoting Norwich and Norfolk which he loves as one of the UK’s top tourist destinations. David’s knowledge of Norfolk grew from his job managing farming co-operative, Aylsham Growers. But he decided on a complete change of lifestyle in 1997 when he started Awaydays and he was able to use those past links to enable him to include tours to estates not always accessible to the general public and he also introduced evening tours of Norwich with a Blue Badge guide. In 2003 the global franchise firm, City Sightseeing, who operate open top sightseeing buses in more than 100 locations around the world, helped him set up City Sightseeing Norwich and he hasn’t looked back since.

Can you spot yourself on board our Norfolk Day Special tour?
There will be no accomodation for wheelchair users on today’s tour due our usual low-floor bus being in for maintenance. Our spare open-top will be in use but does not provide low-floor access. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

It’s NORFOLK DAY on Friday 27th July and time to celebrate with a FREE tour of our Fine City of Norwich so what better way to discover Norwich than to hop aboard the City Sightseeing Open Top Tour Bus with panoramic views and a fascinating recorded commentary along the way on the history and background of what was once the largest walled city in Europe.
Exclusively to mark the first ever Norfolk Day this is a ticketed offer only and... FREE tickets (Adults and Children 8 years and over) can be reserved by contacting Norwich Tourist Information Centre on 01603 213999.
This special tour departs at 4.30pm from the Coach Bay at Castle Meadow (close to the Castle Mall entrance, NR2 1PB) and lasts approximately 45 minutes. Please specify when booking your ticket if you require assistance or to reserve space for a wheelchair (one space available).

First tour 1030 from Castle Meadow from Coach bay outside Castle Mall Shopping Centre. Then every hour on the half-hour with last tour departing at 1530. Tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and stops are at Castle Meadow, Bus Station, Cleveland Road, Theatre Street, Castle Meadow (west side), Tombland, Britannia Road, Railway Station and King Street.
Hop on and off as you like to shop or see the sights. T...ickets are valid for 24 hours and can be bought from the driver.
£12 adult, £10 Concessions, £6 Children, Student £10, £30 Family
Recorded commentary and one wheelchair space available for each tour.

Thank you to everybody who joined our Norwich City Sightseeing tour to help us celebrate English Tourism Week. Exactly 100 people took the tour and we received lots of very favourable comments, which were good to hear. We even had one couple all the way from Ipswich!
