Our workshop are busy finishing off the build of remote panels, containing 24V power supply units and protection devices. These units are for local 24V #interoll #drives.

We are always looking at improving the way we work at CKF, we’ve recently invested in a powered plate roller machine which supports us in making the side profiles for our 24v ZPA roller conveyor bends.
This enables us to reduce manufacturing times and increase efficiency due to complete in-house production.

Two of our controls design engineers, Chris and Bill, have completed an 8 day EPLAN drawing course held at Routeco. This course will enable the controls department to work more efficiently in EPLAN to a higher level of functionality.
The course has enabled them to make better use of the software and use more efficiently. Chris says, “my previous experience was entirely AutoCAD Electrical so it was a new system for me; there was a lot of searching around trying to get familia...r with the software before we were able to attend the course – now we have done it, we are both much more confident”.
EPLAN describe the benefits of their course, “Few of us would buy a sports car, and then never drive it. That's a pretty good metaphor for what many companies do with their design software. They buy it, install it and then only use a fraction of its functionality. Which is a pity, because that unused potential - which has already been paid for - could sharpen their competitive edge and boost their profitability and efficiency.”
