We are pleased to announce a partnership with @macmillancancer as our nominated charity for 2018/2019. Their mission is to offer support, advise and inspiration to people affected by any type of cancer from the moment of getting diagnosed, through the treatment and beyond. Cedar Court Hotels are looking forward to getting involved and supporting this great cause within their local communities of Yorkshire through sporting, social and cultural events.

Thank you to the two gentleman who work at Cedar Court hotel and a random woman who managed to push me into a safer position when my car broke down in the middle of the roundabout just now. It’s nice to see that there are still caring people out there and you saved me in this heat waiting!

User

Had a lovely stay and a decent package from groupon! The room was clean and a very comfy bed. The food was yummy especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The health club facilities were lovely too and not over busy. Even the staff were welcoming and friendly. Would definitely return in the future with a given opportunity

User

1980s weekend ad a fab time ,food was good , prices a bit high for drinks , £60 good value for meal band sleepover & Breakfast & spa .

User

We recently went to the very good costing 80's 90's overnight package. Excellent value for money we had a great night!! Recommend to anyone looking for a good value for money party night. Evening meal was very basic but edible, dessert very nice. Entertainment excellent, room basic but clean.

User

Lovely room and probably the most comfortable hotel bed that I have slept in. The bathroom could have been a little larger but was serviceable. The only down side was very noisy people in adjacent room till 1.00 am. Did report to hotel reception for them to deal with them.

User

Looks like they have turned it around at The Cedar Court hotel as we found nothing wrong with the hotel, staff, food, etc.

The staff were friendly, reception apologised for the slight delay in checking us in, but it was no problem.

Room was well furnished, warm (as it was a cool weekend), clean and the bed was comfy.

We used the pool, which was busy but the spa lady telephoned us when we had reached the top of the waiting list as there is limited space. The jacuzzi wasn’t working but everything else was. Towels were provided and lockers were free.

We had a groupon deal with a one night stay with two course dinner. Food was varied and excellently presented and tasty, as was the breakfast in the morning. Despite the size of the hotel and numbers staying we didn’t experience the ‘bun fight’ we expected at breakfast.

We would have no hesitation returning to Cedar Court in the future.

User

Get deal. Brought off Groupon and was well worth the visit.. staff all very lovely room basic but very clean everything you needed.. had evening meal which was lovely used spa nothing special but again everything you needed.. and breakfast was brill had everything and more.. I would defo come again for the price.. thanks for a chilled evening

User

Everything was perfect. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were amazing and very clean. The breakfast was out of this world with so much variety and the spa was divine, so relaxing and just what we needed. Only reason I've given a 4 star is the health spa was quite small to say how many rooms there is so it got quite busy at times. Would be nice for an outdoor pool as the weather was gorgeous. Definatly going back again.

User

First room allocated to us had an interconnecting room to next door with no visible lock, so basically nothing of ours was safe! We were moved, and we had some kind of smell hit us around the bathroom... still no idea what it was, but wasn’t the best smell! Also no remote for the tv and they searched the hotel to find us one. We nearly got moved again...

User

Family of ten have just spent a weekend here..3 rooms booked, one or two problems raised with the rooms initially which were quickly resolved. Breakfast was reasonable, food could have been hotter, dinner was enjoyed by all. Unfortunately during our stay the hotel’s heating failed and mobile heaters were put in reception and restaurant but unfortunately never reached a warm atmosphere. Our double room and bed very comfortable .

Visited here this afternoon with my daughter as a Mother's Day treat for the afternoon tea and leisure pass. When we got changed we headed through to the pool area and was very disappointed as the jacuzzi was out of use and when I called and booked I specifically told them this is what we was coming for. I went to ask if it will be on at any point during the day and was told it had been like this for around a week. This was a huge disappointment so used the pool instead then when we went to get showered and changed there was an out of bounds sign and when we asked she said would be 45 mins as she was cleaning! We was booked in for afternoon tea in 10 minutes time so said this wasn't acceptable and didn't really get a response from the member of staff so we got our things and went for our afternoon tea. The food was ok but did not excel to make up for the experience we had received at the leisure part. Very disappointing experience.

User

My sister, Mum and I came for day together in the leisure facilities and for afternoon tea.

We were happy with the leisure facilities but very let down by the afternoon tea. The scones were dry we chose not to eat them. The trifle wasn’t good and the sandwiches were a let down also. Won’t be coming back again!!!!!

User

Came here and stayed with my boyfriends family and I was disappointed. Some lighting in the room didn't work, the hair dryer only came on for 5 seconds, and the spa facilities were over crowded which meant we couldn't use them. Sadly I won't be back.

User

We came here last night for the Motown tribute and meal. This was a Mothers Day present for my mum. There were 5 in our party and the food was horrendous, the first course was okay but the soap was only lukewarm. Then comes the main course well were do I start the main issue was the chicken, it was still raw inside and veg was uncooked and hard, so it was taken back and replaced but after receiving that in the first place, it put in you off completely in eating it. Pudding was okay nothing to rave about. May I add that it wasn't just my chicken that was brought out raw another guest on our table was brought out raw and also had to be taken back. So that was 9 people that didn't touch the chicken. Also the tribute act wasn't good either, I am not sure how they could have called themselves a motown tribute act because none of our party had heard of many of the songs that they were singing and we have been to a few motown tributes in the past. So really the night was spoilt by it and have no wish to return or see anything else that may showing at Cedar Court.

We booked through Laterooms for a room Thursday - Sunday. We thought you would be interested in these comments regarding our stay.

Leisure centre closure, we only found out on arrival. We booked the room for leisure and were very disappointed that the leisure centre was closed. This spoilt our weekend. We asked to transfer to another nearby Cedar court but were told that was not possible.

The room was fine with no issues.

The breakfast was poor on all three mornings, with the food over cooked and dry due to the heaters. The tea and coffee facilities were poorly positioned and the pump pot was unsafe due to people overfilling which spilt onto the floor which had not been cleaned up therefore creating a slip hazard.

The receptionist at check out was very pleasant however the lady at check in was barely adequate and not very welcoming.

We picked this hotel for its position and leisure facilities, we have used Cedar court previously and found them of a good standard, very disappointing in this case and will not return.

User

Not stayed here for a few years but was really disappointed, hotel is tired and in need of some TLC, the lift wasn’t working, heating wasn’t working our room was freezing had to ask for a portable heater, didn’t feel particularly clean anywhere our bedroom carpet was covered in stains, breakfast wasn’t great not much choice and had been left out too long not getting refreshed, overall tired and shabby wouldn’t stay again I’m afraid 😟

Me and my partner and 2 children decided to stay at the cedar court hotel for the night rooms were lovely got up for breakfast and they charged £15 for the buffet. I didn't feel that hungry at the time so I didn't bother getting one but my partner and the kids did. My partner did not eat all of his breakfast and neither did the kids so I started eating a slice of left over toast from my partners plate, then I was approached by a member of staff who seemed really rude and a bit of a jobs worth who told me if I carried on eating they were going to charge me £15 all I wanted was a slice of leftover toast!! It was going to get thrown in the bin anyway so my partner payed £15 for a breakfast that majority of it didn't get eaten so we asked a different member of staff for a doggy bag so it didn't go to waste and then she said that was fine if we sign a disclaimer form and then the same woman who came out from before who was really rude and being really argumentitive towards my partner started saying no that we can't even though we had payed for it. I can understand if it was a having a full on breakfast and taking the mick but it was only a slice of toast leftover. I found it very disgusting at the fact that I couldn't even have a slice of toast or even A little nibble of fruit without being charged £15. We feel like they had singled us out as riffraff because everyone else was dressed smartly in suits and we are young adults with 2 children and was dressed casually. They made us feel very out of place and uncormfortable! Do not recommend and a million percent will not be returning! Money is money at the end of the day doesn't matter what you are dressed like we payed for the room, we payed for room service, we payed for breakfast just like everyone else. All I wanted was a slice of toast jeez calm yourselves down!

User

I was so disappointed with my latest visit.

I attend the spice girls tribute night with 3 friends, the food was below standard; the soup was not unrecognisable as vegetable and had no flavour at all, the main course was inedible as it was Luke warm, the bacon wrapped chicken awful, the frozen vegetables wet and the mashed potato was solid, I did complain about this to the serving staff but they seemed indifferent to my comments.

The tribute act were nothing short of shocking. Between them they could not hold a tune. Very disappointing and nothing like the previous acts we’d seen.

It’s a shame because we’ve visited numerous times and we’re hoping to book again for Christmas but based on this visit it’s highly unlikely.
