We've been long stayers on this campsite. Nearly a whole year in our motor home.

Jo and Mark and their family have made us very welcome, helping us at the beginning getting our stuff sorted.......

It's a great site, breathtaking west facing views over to Ilkley Moor, close to rail, bus and road, yet situated on a country lane.

It's facilities are super clean, the site is well organised and peoples individual needs are taken care of.

We will miss the view.........

Thanks!

We had a lovely stay last weekend. Even though the weather was so cold the lovely people that run the site made sure we were kept warm. The wigwam was immaculately clean with everything you need for an overnight stay. It was a great and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

User

We booked the Ash wigwam for my sister's birthday last month and it didn't disappoint. It was very clean and tidy, the equipment was in great order and best of all it was very warm! We was worrying, because its winter that it would get quite cold but the heater inside made it lovely & cosey. The bathroom & shower facilities were very clean and located close by. The views from the campsite were beautiful & the perfect area for those that enjoy walking. I will definately be back with my family this summer. Thank you for making our stay pleasant.

User

We arrived here yesterday and immediately fell in love with the place, stunning views, great central location, accessibility and level(ish) pitch!

Definitely will be the site we stay at from now on when visiting Leeds and the surrounding areas!

User

Very friendly family who own the campsite. Our wigwams were clean, cosy, comfortable and warm. Lovely and a nice change

User

This was our second visit to the site, first in a wigwam which was very clean, warm and comfortable, the second time we stayed in our motorhome, the facilities are of good clean standard, the views are beautiful, nice quiet site within walking distance of Otley, where you can eat, drink and visit the many shops.

User

This is a superb campsite in Menston, for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Very helpful and friendly owners, Jo and Mark Mather, made us feel at home from the first moment we arrived. First went there with our tent three weeks ago for the weekend and have been back twice since, it's so good. Toilet, shower and washing facilities are very good and it's a lovely quiet site, ideal for couples and families alike. Wonderful views from the campsite over the Yorkshire Dales and very central, with Ilkley, Skipton, Harrogate, Bolton Abbey, to name but a few, all within a half hour drive. There is a pub within walking distance that serves good food if you don't fancy cooking. I can't praise this lovely campsite highly enough.

User

My family and I recently stayed in one of the Wigwams for two nights. We had such a lovely little getaway. The wigwam was clean and cosy, surprisingly roomy for the three of us.

The site itself was great facilities where lovely and also very clean. The scenery was beautiful. Was great sitting out front in the evening and watching the sunset.

Staff where so kind and helpful. I'd forgotten to print off some tickets and she came to the rescue. Just wonderful, we will return. Thank you for such a great break.

User

Lovely place near enough to use as a base to visit all areas of Yorkshire, plus they take dogs can see us using it again when visiting family

User

Just returned from a 2 night stay in a wigwam. Very clean, cosy and well stocked with basic equipment (crockery, cutlery, washing up bowl etc). The wigwam is well insulated from cold and noise. My only criticism would be the limited number of hooks. If we had been staying any longer than a couple of days, drying towels and hanging damp coats etc, would have been a problem. The site is quiet and has clean facilities. There are gorgeous views. Jo made us very welcome and we definitely plan to return.

User

Just been on our first visit with 2 grandchildren, amazing place! Such a lovely family, who were there to greet and show us our camping plot. Toilets, showers and washing up area all very clean. Isaac and Imogen wanted to adopt the most friendly dogs (Tess and Samson) Will definatily be back. Thanks for a lovely weekend. Andrea, Tony, Isaac and Immy. Xx

Had a 2 night stay with 2 dogs in one of the wigwams and I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Lovely site with spectacular views run by very a lovely family who understand dogs. Very warm welcome upon arrival and shown around the site. Well equipped wigwam and very clean facilities. Best WiFi ever!! Lovely pub just a couple of minutes away with fab food overlooking the beautiful countryside. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and we will definitely be back!!

User

Great views - great hospitality- everything on your doorstep including a great pub 2 minutes walk away who are dog friendly and serve amazing food!

User

Been quite a few times now n fab little site with a very comfortable feeling. Edge of dales so great location n fab views. Joanne the owner is lovely n fresh eggs for sale also from her chickens. Great pub10 min walk up a small hill that does.lovely food, the chevin inn, advisable 2 book table as popular. Great walks around the area.

User

A lovely stay! We stayed on Elm Wigwam and it was perfect. Very clean, lots of space and had everything we needed. Shower and toilets very clean and the owners incredibly friendly. Jo recommended a few places to visit that would we would have missed. Definitely recommend as it was great value for money as well as giving the camping experience if you required a little more comfort. We love camping but as I am pregnant thought this may be more suitable and it was perfect. Thanks again! Xx

User

A friendly, welcoming site. Great views. Well maintained toilet block, plenty of space for the kids to play. The Wigwam’s were clean, well kept, and had everything we needed for a weekend’s winter glamping. Best of all, there was enough space for a family of five and our pet dog too. It was lovely and warm, even on a snowy weekend. We liked it so much, we’ve booked again already!!

User

This is our 2nd visit but this time in a tent we had a lovely stay weather was nice had a nice couple with there grandchildren in the next tent but shame about the family's in the wigwams was quite noisy on a night thank you Anna Kyle lily n Noah xxx

User

We stayed in Elm wigwam, which was a good size and the mattresses were comfortable and large enough when put together to form one big bed. The owners of the site are very helpful and polite, giving recommendations on places to visit. The site faces the lovely views of the countryside and on our visit was not over crowded. However we did experience a few problems hence the generous three star rating and would like to explain why.. Unfortunately the electricity cut out twice when only the kettle was plugged in. The mattresses had a lot of built up dust/debris and hair around and beneath the mattresses and I felt the wigwam could of done with a good hoovering and mopping. The cutlery and pots had some dried food on and were chipped which I feel need to be thoroughly cleaned by the owner before re-letting out and replacing any chipped pots as they are unhygienic. The dimmer light would flicker so we were resorted to use the simple on/off light provided. Despite only having one shower it was sufficient for the site, however it wasnt clean and hair was still in the cubicle. The instructions to mop the floor after showering was reasonable, however both the mop and bucket were filthy and the water was black with no disinfectant in and was not changed in the two days we stayed. I feel this needs changing daily, as does the general cleaning of the toilets and sinks. Finally, we returned after a day out to find our allocated car parking spot had been taken by a family member of the site, which may sound petty but when you pay for an allocated spot that is what you should get. This was resolved after a few hours and in a sensitive manner but I feel this issue impacted on our stay as did the other points mentioned.

User

The site was very well kept and in a lovely position with beautiful views. Facilities excellent. However for us it was not the best site, noise levels very annoying, it's in the flight path from Leeds airport and flights were overhead every few minutes! Dread to think what it's like in the main holiday season! Not the best place to be with a dog, very busy road just outside and as my husband has to use a mobility scooter it just wasn't very convenient. I just found the dog walking difficult. The other concern was the amount of vans and tents in a fairly small space, very busy. Lovely owners who are very helpful and attentive, good luck to them for the future but the site was just not for us, depends what you need and want.
