Clarus Opticians Serves keighley and its surrounding areas. We offer Comprehensive Eye Examinations, Dry Eye Clinics, Contact Lenses and Sports Eyewear.
Clarus Opticians Keighley Description
Clarus Opticians first opened its doors in October 2015. We are proud to offer comprehensive eye examination to everyone.
Our optometrist will carry out the eye examination at a relaxed pace giving you a comprehensive eye examination.
A typical eye examination will include:
1: Retinoscopy – a test used to determine your prescription.
2: Subjective refraction – where your responses guide the Optometrist to the best lens for you (don’t worry everything is double checked )
3: Your prescription is checked against a far point – this could be as far as 10 meters plus.
4: Your eye muscles are checked using a clever device to make sure your eyes are pointing in the right direction.
5: Your reading prescription is checked per eye, lenses are added if required.
6: Your eye muscles for near vision are checked
7: All 12 eye muscles are checked.
8: your pupils are checked.
9: The fronts of the eye are checked this will include the eye lids.
9: The back of the eye is checked
10: particular attention is given to watch out for any early signs of age related Macula degeneration (ARMD), cataracts and Glaucoma.
11: The pressure of the eye is checked
12: The peripheral vision is also checked (if required)
This is just a few checks that are carried out on all ROUTINE EYE EXAMINATION. Extra eye checks may be carried out at the discretion of the Optometrist.

We also offer Dry Eye assessment and management. This will include an initial assessment using the latest techniques a deep clean of the eye lids. A customised step by step management plan and a review appointment.
