About Clasp

CLASP is a self-advocacy organisation for adults with learning disabilities in the Wokingham borough. Our aim is to empower individuals with learning disabilities to speak up for their rights, promote independence, and encourage community involvement. Over half of our board of directors have a learning disability, and we also employ people with learning disabilities to support our projects. We offer a range of programmes and activities, including a weekly coffee shop, disability awareness training, a campaigning group, a hate crime reporting centre, a choir, and healthy and wellness activities. We are dedicated to challenging people's perceptions of individuals with learning disabilities and influencing decision making at the local and national level. If you would like to support our mission and become a part of our community, we encourage you to visit our page and learn more about what we do. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities.
