The Castle Team are looking forward to the upcoming weddings this week and our Summer Soiree on Sunday

Wonderful venue, beautiful setting. Food was delicious and nicely presented, BUT we were served slowly. In fact several of us had to call attention to the lack of vegetables quite a while after having played with beef, mash and Yorkshires on. My neighbour almost finished his before the veg was brought! Very disappointing. Also drinks are at London prices! I liked the fact that the dancing was in the cellars! Again, food was a little off the mark for the evening hog roast as we had to wait for quite a while for more pork to be brought out.

On the whole a memorable day though.

We had our wedding here last weekend and it was absolutely amazing. The staff at the castle are amazing, so professional and nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to our wedding planner Lisa who worked so hard all day to bring everything together perfectly. The team have been so helpful through the whole process and made it really easy for me, answering my questions speedily and making lots of useful recommendations and giving great tips. We had such a great day and I can’t thank you all enough!

We got married here on the 20th November. Our day went perfectly, the Castle team go above and beyond to ensure that the bride, groom and guests are all happy. A huge thank you to Aimee, we were so lucky to have her as our wedding coordinator - amazing. The Castle and it’s grounds we fell in love with when we first viewed in 2016, it simply speaks for itself. All our guests commented on how much they loved the venue, and the food was delicious. A million thank yous.

We got married here on 11th May 2018! The day ran so smoothly and the grounds look amazing in our photos. All our guests loved the venue, enjoyed the food and the unique rooms they stayed in. We had the best day and want to thank all the amazing staff and Tally our wedding planner for understanding our vision of the day.

The venue is beautiful, truly stunning! But it's the staff that make it, our wedding manager Amiee was AMAZING she supported us at every stage after we booked, from our order of service to setting up our decorations on the day. She took care of everything, even made sure I was on time!

The food is great the grounds are beautiful the rooms are to die for! (Including those in the Clearwell hotel) I'm so happy we got married at Clearwell!!

My husband Rhys and I got married at Clearwell Castle on 10 February 2018 and we couldn't have picked a more perfect venue. It was the first place we viewed over a year ago and we knew there was nothing that could top it. The setting was beautiful inside and out - the ceremony room in particular was so grand it felt really special walking into the ceremony. All our guests are still commenting to us on how fantastic the food was and how smoothly the day ran. This is in no small part due to our brilliant wedding co-ordinator, Lesia. She moved the day along seamlessly and nothing was too much trouble; from helping move us from the cottage to the gorgeous bridal suite on the morning, to gathering together cards and left over cake the next day. My daughter got married here this past Monday (june 11). Wow! What a venue! The staff were incredible, the food amazing. Lisa - thank you for everything. You ensured the day ran to perfection and were running around from the moment we got there to the moment we left - always with a smile. My Husabnd and I (I love saying that!) had our wedding reception and evening do at Clearwell castle on Friday 14th July 2017 and it really was the best day of our lives!



As a local couple, we always wanted to make the most of having such a beautiful wedding venue on our doorstep. So in January 2017, we decided to take the plunge and book our wedding. We made the booking through Emma who was a delight to deal with and so lovely and friendly. We met with Emma at the castle soon after and she took us around and answered all of our questions. We then got introduced to Zoe, our wedding planner.



With only a short space of time to plan the wedding, we cannot thank Zoe enough for her help running up to and including the day itself. She was absolutely fantastic and we couldn't get over her organisational skills! Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us and our guests. All of our guests commented on how brilliant she was and we felt 100% comfortable in her hands.



We were very lucky with the weather on the day and got to enjoy drinks on the terrace whilst the children had lots of fun playing croquet and running around on the grounds. It was great to experience all that the castle had to offer and we couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere.



All of the staff were extremely efficient and friendly and the food was to die for, huge compliments to the chef!



There isn't anything negative that we can say about the whole experience, we feel extremely grateful and wish we could do it all again! We would like to thank everyone at Clearwell Castle and especially Zoe for making our wedding day so perfect!

Dan and I attended an Open Day in May 2016 just a few weeks after we got engaged. I walked into the ballroom and felt this instant pang of excitement - I had to walk down that aisle!! Having spoken to a couple of other venues, Clearwell ticked every box, but in the end we chose them over everyone else because the service was exceptional from the word go (not to mention the setting is breath taking!) We were given a quote on the day, and following that, the Events Manager Emma was able to answer every question we threw at her in no time at all - we were never kept waiting for a response! As the wedding came closer, we met our planner Lisa (this woman deserves a medal for what we put her through!!) There were a number of sensitive matters that arose in the run up to the day, and Lisa was a miracle worker, NOTHING was a problem and nothing phased her. Myself, my mum, bridesmaids and daughters stayed in the Keepers cottage the night before, which I highly recommend, and Dan, his men & my son stayed in North Lodge - this meant the day started off super chilled for all of us. The day itself was wonderful, I cannot put into words just how wonderful it was, everything was just perfect - we were honestly in this bubble of happiness from start to finish. The staff were exceptional, they made everything look flawless, and again, nothing was a problem. The food was too good for words - our friend who is vegan said that her meal was the best vegan meal she had ever had at a wedding (big Brownie points!). I could literally go on about how amazing our experience was forever and a day. Everything about Clearwell Castle makes it the epitome of the fairytale wedding - anyone considering booking would not regret it! Thank you to everyone who made our day so perfect and beautiful. They also coordinated with all of our vendors without any issues what so ever. Best decision we ever made choosing Clearwell Castle for our big day!! My husband and I got married at Clearwell Castle on 12th June this year! We can not express how amazing this venue is and the incredible service that comes with it, because it was beyond outstanding. All the staff were very friendly and ever so helpful. Congratulations to Zoe on her new born, amazing news! Zoe and Lesia were amazing! They helped us create the most incredible wedding we will never forget! A BIG thank you for the amazing memories you have given Matt and me, along with our family and friends! My husband Rhys and I got married at Clearwell Castle on 10 February 2018 and we couldn't have picked a more perfect venue. It was the first place we viewed over a year ago and we knew there was nothing that could top it. The setting was beautiful inside and out - the ceremony room in particular was so grand it felt really special walking into the ceremony. All our guests are still commenting to us on how fantastic the food was and how smoothly the day ran. This is in no small part due to our brilliant wedding co-ordinator, Lesia. She moved the day along seamlessly and nothing was too much trouble; from helping move us from the cottage to the gorgeous bridal suite on the morning, to gathering together cards and left over cake the next day. After months of planning and looking forward to our wedding day it was exactly how we imagined it. Thank you Lesia and thank you to Clearwell for a magical experience. Kate & Rhys x

My daughter got married here this past Monday (june 11). Wow! What a venue! The staff were incredible, the food amazing. Lisa - thank you for everything. You ensured the day ran to perfection and were running around from the moment we got there to the moment we left - always with a smile. I would absolutely recommend this as a wonderful venue for any special event.

My Husabnd and I (I love saying that!) had our wedding reception and evening do at Clearwell castle on Friday 14th July 2017 and it really was the best day of our lives!



As a local couple, we always wanted to make the most of having such a beautiful wedding venue on our doorstep. So in January 2017, we decided to take the plunge and book our wedding. We made the booking through Emma who was a delight to deal with and so lovely and friendly. We met with Emma at the castle soon after and she took us around and answered all of our questions. We then got introduced to Zoe, our wedding planner.



With only a short space of time to plan the wedding, we cannot thank Zoe enough for her help running up to and including the day itself. She was absolutely fantastic and we couldn't get over her organisational skills! Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us and our guests. All of our guests commented on how brilliant she was and we felt 100% comfortable in her hands.



We were very lucky with the weather on the day and got to enjoy drinks on the terrace whilst the children had lots of fun playing croquet and running around on the grounds. It was great to experience all that the castle had to offer and we couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere.



All of the staff were extremely efficient and friendly and the food was to die for, huge compliments to the chef!



There isn't anything negative that we can say about the whole experience, we feel extremely grateful and wish we could do it all again! We would like to thank everyone at Clearwell Castle and especially Zoe for making our wedding day so perfect!

Me and my wife were lucky enough to get married at clearwell at the end of September. Every detail and moment was beyond perfect. They venue is breathtaking and the staff are absolutely awesome. Im Chrissy from Chrissys Cakes Bristol and I delivered a wedding cake here on Easter Sunday. Your staff are absolutely lovely. So helpful and very polite and a joy to meet. (I can't say the same about quite a few other wedding venues I have delivered to over the years!)

The venue itself is simply stunning and beautiful. I would certainly recommend you if asked for venue locations, in the future.

Dan and I attended an Open Day in May 2016 just a few weeks after we got engaged. I walked into the ballroom and felt this instant pang of excitement - I had to walk down that aisle!! Having spoken to a couple of other venues, Clearwell ticked every box, but in the end we chose them over everyone else because the service was exceptional from the word go (not to mention the setting is breath taking!) We were given a quote on the day, and following that, the Events Manager Emma was able to answer every question we threw at her in no time at all - we were never kept waiting for a response! As the wedding came closer, we met our planner Lisa (this woman deserves a medal for what we put her through!!) There were a number of sensitive matters that arose in the run up to the day, and Lisa was a miracle worker, NOTHING was a problem and nothing phased her. Myself, my mum, bridesmaids and daughters stayed in the Keepers cottage the night before, which I highly recommend, and Dan, his men & my son stayed in North Lodge - this meant the day started off super chilled for all of us. The day itself was wonderful, I cannot put into words just how wonderful it was, everything was just perfect - we were honestly in this bubble of happiness from start to finish. The staff were exceptional, they made everything look flawless, and again, nothing was a problem. The food was too good for words - our friend who is vegan said that her meal was the best vegan meal she had ever had at a wedding (big Brownie points!). I could literally go on about how amazing our experience was forever and a day. Everything about Clearwell Castle makes it the epitome of the fairytale wedding - anyone considering booking would not regret it! Thank you to everyone who made our day so perfect and beautiful.
