Our 1st visit to Cleethorpes n I was bowled over how nice and clean it was.

We managed to park opposite the beach front. With our 2 doggies we went to find the doggy beach by boarding the lollipop train and the kids loved the experience there and back. We spent half the day on the beach right near the sea, enjoying the fact it was so peaceful n not too crowded and got somewhat marooned by the tide slowly coming in and had to wade thigh high to get back and the kids paddled n swam, so did the dogs. We carried the baggage above our heads. Just added to the adventure but won't make that mistake again. We know now why we were so alone down at that sea front. The afternoon spent closer to the top part of the beach.

We will be coming back with my tourer for a long weekend. A day wasn't long enough. We need to explore all around.

I dont know how we've by-passed Cleethorpes all these yrs. Loved it. Not full of chavs either.

Thank you Cleethorpes.

I lived here till I was 19 and ever since leaving I love to return to see family and even more so now. I love taking our son for walks on the beach and soon he’ll be able to build sandcastles

Had a great day yesterday ( Bank Holiday Monday ), arrived early doors bagged a parking space on the Sea Front, well it was 9am lol, had an amazing breakfast cob from the Hawian Cafe and a decent brew. Set up on the Beach which is great although there was some rubbish which irritates me, soon disappeard after the lads from the council removed it all, why do people leave all their crap on the beach and drop it all over the place, is it just pure laziness or allergic to popping it in the bins provided just do like I do bring it home, anyway well done North Lincolnshire Council for quickly removing it. Had some delicious fish cakes n chips from our favourite chippy The Ocean Fish Bar, hardly any queue unlike on the Seafront, the prom was rammed and to be honest I,ve never seen so many people in Cleethorpes which was great to see. The only gripe is the toilets I,m affraid there not fantastic which is a shame oh and the indoor market there's nowt there these days, I love a good market lol, anyway thanks for a great day.

Great weather most days.

The beach is cleaned every morning.

Lots of: Entertainment;

Bars and Restaurants.

Big boating lake with lots of ducks, geese and swans, nice to walk around.

Great little zoo specialising in parrots.

Fun atmosphere wherever you go.

Donkey rides for kids on the beach.

Some arcades and tourist shops but not enough to spoil the place.

Cinema, theatre, bowling alley.

Nice town centre with some great independent shops.

And Grimsby town just down the road if you need mainstream shops.

I love it so much that I want to move here

Clean beach, lovely seafront and the biggest piece of Haddock I have ever seen from Papa's on the Pier. I couldn't eat my chips!!!

We came on Tuesday to escape the heat inland, it was a lot cooler. I have to admit though my main reason for choosing Cleethorpes was the wonderful Tilletts shop. So we come quite often. We like Cleethorpes but the approach is very run down and off putting. Not enough public toilets and the one near where bus stops is not very nice. It’s the first time we’ve seen the tide in. It needs more money spending on it and more eating places of a good quality

User

Rode to cleethorpes for dinner at Olivier cafe on the front great food and friendly staff then rode back to doncaster

Found the beach lovely, open areas, loved the pier, just a few places to eat etc, it was very clean and some lovely green areas to sit and picnic or just to watch the world go by, like that the bustop was very close to the beach, and the toilets were near by, shame the state of the toilets let it down, no soap/ loo roll, and they were dirty and the doors were sticky, wish I’d of had some toilet wipes, so apart from the loos it was a lovely few hours.

Brilliant day, very busy, very hot and sunny

kids really enjoyed it

only downside is I'm severely sun burnt

kids had last of our suntan lotion, so I didn't get any

User

Such a shame people don’t obey the no dogs on the beach signs... we took on our dogs on the permitted beach... only to find when we walked along the prom that people were taking their dogs on to the main beach!

User

Not alot of things open it was a Sunday but I was hoping there was most of shops all closed this is a real shame I loved going as a kid and the main attraction at pleasure beach wasn't open it was closed this also was very disappointing f the kids!!!!! Also lots of rubbish that

It was beachy, I'd write more but there isn't anything more to say, especially as I'm only here because Facebook stalked me.

Facebook is sitting at the end of my bed staring at me menacingly until I write a review.

Fantastic beach, great for the family. However there is nowhere to go to the toilet as everywhere is either closed or out of order. The council needs to sort these facilities out.

Visited on Armed Forces weekend (30th June / 1st July), beach was an equal mix of sand, litter, broken glass, fragmented plastic beakers, Lynx aerosol caps, BBQ debris, bottle caps, wet-wipes, fag ends and wrappers too numerous to list. Picked up a lot but was actually trying to have a day out and play with my son in between doing the councils job and combing the beach clear of detritus. Loving the shattered bottle glass half submerged in sand; an especially fun highlight.
