Did you know that Romanian coal plants operating illegally can receive the same fine as restaurants which allow customers to smoke indoors?
Together with Greenpeace Romania, we are asking the EU Commission to investigate and to act. https://www.clientearth.org/…/romanias- failure-to-penalise…/

User

Romania’s failure to penalise coal plants that operate without a permit means some plants have polluted illegally for 6 years.
ClientEarth and Greenpeace Romania are calling on the European Commission to stop Romania’s coal fleet from breaking EU laws indefinitely. Read more: https://www.clientearth.org/…/romanias- failure-to-penalise…/

They did what I dreamt.to sue the government for not doing its job properly.

The medical profession should stand with you and be counted.

User

Thank you for taking the battle for clean air to the High Court. And congrats on a first step to prioritise people over cars.

User

Thank you for picking up what feels like one of the most important issues right now. I live in London with children and was shocked to compare my local busy road air quality data with European standards on air quality. The maths wasn't easy as it required conversions of quantities but the extent to which some of the standards were breached was in the order of over a thousand! I even put the comparisons in a letter to my local MP and the council and they did not dispute my figures. Respiratory physicians are concerned about the increased deaths from pollution. The case for urgent action has been strongly stated and backed up with research. I heard about your work in the press and will be following your work closely.

User

Tenacious in their pursuit of clean air

User

Kudos for the BIG WIN on clean air! And a huge THANK YOU for all you do to hold governments and corporations accountable to The People and more responsible for the health and well being of our planet now and for future generations to come.

User

Keep up the good work!

User

Keep up the amazing work u guys and thank u for even trying.

User

It's a real shame when the government has to be forced to meet its obligations to citizens. Well done Client Earth.

User

I agree with John Edward Allegri you people are a nuisance thats whats wrong with the world today to many do gooders poking their noses into other peoples affairs, go get a life and worry about your own failings or go get a proper job. I WOULDN'T donate nothing to you lot. All you lot are doing is costing hard working people more money to change their vehicles how about Client Earth giving folk money after all its what you lot are after a cleaner enviroment.

User

Great work at least I can take the gas mask off lol

User

Great victory. Keep up the excellent work you are doing on air quality.

User

About time someone took on the useless UK govt over their failure to tackle air pollution and their total disregard for people's health. Good onya!

User

nut munchers just trying to bully everybody to do what they want

User

Misdirected against less than 8% of vehicles because they daren't take on the lobbies of trucking companies, public transport, trains and shipping.

User

Just wondered if you guys have considered the environmental impact of forcing people to scrap millions of reliable older vehicles, safely disposing of them and then manufacturing millions of replacements also being lawyers I'm sure that you are very wealthy and so splashing out the odd £30,000 for a new van would be nothing. As a small businessman who needs to make a living I own a 30 year old Mercedes Van, it easily passes the current MOT emissions test every year, if I look after it, it'll probably last the rest of my life, I would have thought that was pretty environmentally friendly, I don't want to scrap it, I can't afford a new one, you people are a nuisance!

User

Best pals with german car manufacturers.
