Friendly family-owned place great for a chill and a coffee, good shop and of course a lovely safe swim, you won't go back to a pool !! Can hire wetsuits and get loads of advice if its your first time. Shame changing rooms aren't a bit bigger so I just drive home in my dryrobe!
A fabulous place for walkers, dog walking and bird watchers. Great views. Parking n cafe at the ski centre.
Beautiful lake for open water swimming sessions, wakeboarding and water park. Good facilities, great coffee shop, fantastic atmosphere and very friendly people.
Cliff Lakes reminds me of the Duck analogy "Calm on the surface, but paddling like the clappers beneath". I love this place, it is the best Open Water Swimming Venue in the Midlands and the world (because I'm a proud, albeit biased Midlander). Run by down to earth, lovely people with excellent facilities including: changing rooms, shower & a cafe. It is hidden away, but persevere, you'll find it and you'll love it.
Attended Ran Run OCR here in July, and was super happy with the facilities! Everything very clean, easy to find location, and lovely scenery.
We have just enjoyed having our engagement party there. All of the staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. Services we booked were the function room, catering, and the bar. All of which were superb and the night went seamlessly.
This is also our favourite place to go locally for a walk and we always stop off at the Clubhouse for a drink, and now they do food we have a great local place to visit and stay for the day. I must add that the food is amazing quality and value.
If it's a nice hot day it's great to sit on the waterfront terrace and watch the water sports with a cold beer. So relaxing.
We went for a Segway Event but the actual centre was all closed up so no toilet facilities
Good place for water sports or to just walk around
Took my dogs for a quick run 1.7 miles around the lake twice while I was on my bike, I then stopped at the bar for a quick drink after, OMG what an amazing view this place has, between the water skiing and other water sports that go on, the look of the place would have you thinking you were on holiday down south by the sea. And it's just 14 minutes from amington. This place is my new go to place.
This was just a fantastic venue for my sons wedding. Everything was catered for. All the staff where just brilliant. Even the owner took the wedded couple out on a boat to have pictures taken, completely out of the blue. We had a super time. Thank you to all involved on the day, we would recommend this venue to everyone..
