Hello Bonfire fans.
Due to the current situation, we have decided to postpone all our forthcoming fundraising events.
We are hopeful that we will still be able to run them all at a later date so do please watch this space for details.
... I'm the mean time, remember you can continue to support the Cliffe by using easyfundraising when you shop online.

Shameless pub plug!! This Saturday The Volunteer will be welcoming TOTAL MAYHEM (no not the usual Saturday night you think) But the awesome band you may have seen at Ewhurst & Staplecross Social club when visiting for an out meeting. ... One not to miss and also a chance to see them before October.

Roll up, roll up! Eyes down for the last ever Archbishop's Bingo!
Tonight at the All Saints, join us for a night of fun and frolics with Bingo, entertainment and of course, a bar. Plus there's the infamous unwanted Christmas present raffle!
Everyone is welcome, it'll be great fun and whilst there may not be many little ducks or knocks at the door, you'll probably get to find out the average age of a Nevill Juvenile member...
... Doors open at seven, eyes down at eight, see you there!

We have been passed details of the funeral arrangement for Jim "The Fish" Smith who as well as being a Cliffe stalwart for many. many years, was extremely well known and well liked around town.
The funeral will take place at Isfield Church on Tuesday 28th January at 2:00 pm, Jim will also be buried at the church. Prior to that, the funeral cortege will travel to Cliffe bridge, arriving at approximately 1:20 pm where people are invited to gather for ten minutes to pay their respects.
Full details for the funeral can be found on the website of Grace's Funeral Directors: https://gracefuneraldirectors.co.uk/funer al-notices/

Happy new year!
It's 2020 and Cliffe Bonfire Society are bounding into the new decade with our usual joi de vivre.
You'll have heard us say before that Bonfire is an all-year-round event and this year is no exception! Our crack team of fundraising experts are beavering away to create all the wonderful events you know and love, alongside some new and exciting ones, new for this year.
... We've got some diary dates for you already though so block these ones out because it's terrible having to disappoint other people wen you remember you have a Cliffe event to go to instead of their, less exciting social soiree.
31st Jan - Archbishops bingo, for possibly the last time ever! This year it's at the All Saints
19th July - Stoolball! Yep, we're doing it again so if you're not Commercial Square, get training!
25th April, 23rd April, 18th July and 26th Sept we're having jumble sales at the Cliffe church hall so plan your wardrobe updates accordingly...
There will of course be tons more so watch this space for the Cliffiest of years!

Today is the day of our Christmas Craft Fair!
We're at the town hall today from 10 o'clock through until about half past three and as you can see we have a huge array of crafty stalls, plus food, beverages and all the raffley goodness you'd expect from a Bonfire event!
It's only 50p to get in and you'll find no better place to pick up some unique and individual Christmas gifts. Or just come for a pint and a mince pie...

As all the bonfire stuff is mostly over, and what a SMASHING one it looked. I can now officially say the word Christmas right? Well I have and will continue to do so.
As you may or may not know our Annual Christmas Fair is Saturday 14th December at the Town Hall.
... I’m shouting for help nice and early as we’re toning to need a bit this year with dressing the tourist information window, setting up on the Friday night, with stalls on the day, putting posters up around town, leafleting on the day, sign posting on the top road plus a few things I’ve probably forgotten also any generous donations of booze would be lovely as were doing a booze raffle/Tombola this year instead of the sledge.
If you think you can help in any way please contact my self Chrissie or Ed, Norma, Alex you can just comment on this post or inbox or even email if you fancy üòä
Thanks very muchly in advance 🎅🏼

Your Archbishop kindly reminds you all that we are selling Programmes all day tomorrow, so spread the word as it would be good to sell out.

User

The weather forecast for tomorrow is mainly dry, but do bear in mind that it's been raining for about a month now so if you're coming to our firesite, make sure you have appropriate footwear! We'd recommend boots or wellies, leave your best trainers and high heels at home!

User

Just wanted to let everyone know The Volunteer will be open from 8am on the 5th for breakfast. 🍳🥓☕️

User

Come and get your Programmes and firesite tickets on this sunny Sunday. We are also selling tomorrow and of course the 5th as well.
