Wow just wow what a great find!

Stopped for a quick coffee on route to the parents but after reading the menu we couldn't help ourselves, we had to try the goods. We ended up having the most amazing lunch and the options were thoughtful and original. We are both vegetarian but I also have a gluten issue, and for the first time eating out wasn't an issue. The staff were friendly, chatty and helpful and even our dog got given a sausage and a bowl of fresh water. Well done cliffhanger for offering something different compared to every other cafe/restaurant in the area, can't wait to shout your praises to family and friends. We will see you again on our next visit down from Winchester. Many thanks Nyk & Claire.

Went as walk ins for Mother’s Day breakfast. Staff were excellent, very courteous and efficient. Restaurant was full but we didn’t have to wait too long to be served or for breakfast to arrive.

We went for an evening with friends, the food and atmosphere were excellent thank you 😊

We had a fantastic evening watching a Rod Stewart tribute last night at the cliffhanger the food was amazing the staff were hilarious and fun entertainment was brilliant.

All in all a fabulous evening congratulations cliffhanger!!

Six of us went to Frankie Valli tribute night 1st June..........so good!! Booked again for December! Thanks to all staff involved.

I recently organised a School Class Reunion in the Upper Level of the Cliffhanger! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or attentive while we enjoyed Afternoon Tea. I’d highly recommend this as a venue to anyone planning the same sort of gathering!!

Had a lovely evening tonight, Crab on the Cliff (voucher won on a raffle at Abba tribute 8/6/2018) food was delicious, service was great and the waiter was lovely to, would definitely go back again

I love this place. It's reasonably priced, location is great and food is usually what you would expect at the price you pay.

Food was good and enjoyed by myself, my daughter and my grandsons. Service good and staff very friendly and attentive.

Nothing to complain about.

The service is ok, food average but priced as if it was cooked by Gordon Ramsey. £3.30 for a large lemonade is ridiculous.

Have visited a few times and whilst the coffee is good, the full english breakfast is very disappointing and certainly not worth what is being charged for. Staff are attentive though.

Had breakfast there after a trip down from London on 16 Feb.

Went for the George Michael tribute evening to celebrate my friends b/day. My god it was hot in the room I asked for windows open the waitress replied sorry I can't they are broken so My friends & I continued to cook !!! The main meal of belly pork was not very nice at all fatty & chewy which was left un eaten !! Spoke with waitress to ask to speak to manager who I thought was Karen, her reply was she had gone home & she was the manager. I suggested a bottle of Prosecco to compensate her reply was she would offer two cocktails I accepted ! 10 minutes later Karen the events manager came to our table it seemed the previous manager had lied Karen had not gone home & kindly presented my table with a bottle of Prosecco !!!

Tribute artist did sort of sound like George but definitely didn't look like him, his ginger/red/strawberry blonde hair put me off!!

But I must say when his back up singers took stage to sing a song each were bloody amazing !!

We went to the Dolly Parton and Kenny tribute for my birthday

On booking I had asked for a specific area as

One of my friends was registered disabled and it was also my birthday . As she is unable to stand for long I wanted her to be able to view the tribute band

However when I arrived we had been placed opposite with pillars for the stairs which would mean no view

I voiced my opinion only to be told that when the tribute band was on I could put her in front of the main entrance door and that they were unable to sit six where I had asked for

Needless to say I was not amused

There was no ambience where we were sat as the speakers were not faced In our direction so unless you could go down the stairs you felt rather left out

The Dolly Parton tribute side was not great and barely acknowledged us from where we were sitting

Thankfully Kenny Rogers made up for her

The plus side was the meal choice was excellent all being it one of the puddings was Luke warm and had to be returned

I must also say as it was my birthday I was offered a complimentary cocktail,but I would have rather been seated with most the other guests

Unfortunately three of my guests left before the second half which was s big of a let down

This morning I sent an email saying how disappointed I was for what was supposed to be a special night

Such a let down having gone to two other tribute nights in the past

My partner and I visited this morning, after a lovely walk on the cliff top, and we were eagerly looking forward to our usual breakfast at The Cliffhanger. I felt quite hungry, but as I sat down, my morning was soon spoiled, as I was horrified to find that the breakfast menu had been changed, and after searching for the vegetarian breakfast, with the lovely veggie sausages, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, toast (yum) .....I was told, rather rudely by a waitress 'we don't do vegetarian breakfast any more, we're doing it all differently now' in a superior manner. Has the world gone mad? My partner ordered a lovely cooked English breakfast, and I had to make do with a toasted tea cake, as I didn't want spinach, smoked salmon, avacado...etc...I wanted a traditional cooked breakfast. Is this discrimination against vegetarians I ask myself? What have we done to deserve this? I ate my toasted teacake, sulkily, complained to the manager, who told me she would give me a comment form to complete, which she forgot to hand to me. And so, I am looking forward to my cooked breakfast next week......at The Beachcomber!! 🍴😊

I don’t mind as I was happy with the food I ate last time. The calamari was saggy and very chewy that’s come with horrible salad which cost £13. The mussel was delicious as same as before but this time it was suppose to be the main course £15 and I can’t see the different portion from what I ordered last time as starter for £10,this is about 2weeks ago. The service is not as warm as we came before, still I’m a good person I still leave some tips���

Can't substitute a fried egg for a poached egg on your breakfasts as you're too busy? There are empty seats and it's not even summer yet, plus you have poached eggs on other meals on the menu. Not very customer-centric.

£2.50 for a cup of tea and £2.65 yes £2.65 for small cup of diet coke RIDICULOUS wont be

calling in there again.
