lovely roast dinner, pork cooked to perfection. good selection of veg etc. and the best chocolate brownie we have ever tasted! service was first class too!

We've been eating here for a good few years now, someone gave us some vouchers for a wedding anniversary present.

We have never been disappointed, food is of a excellent standard with a great selection of seasonal produce, lovely presented and full of flavour. Great choice of drinks, some local which is always nice and the staff are always friendly, helpful and not overly attentive.

Would highly recommend it for both celebrations and cosy dinners for two.

We have been coming here for years, whenever we are down in Bristol visiting family. The quality of the food and the service is always excellent. The Gloucester old spot with champ is my favourite but I tried the Clifton sausage sandwich which didn't disappoint. Recommend the place!

We had the lunchtime set menu, great options and what we had was Delish ! Ham hock salad to start with sausages and mash with onion gravy followed by cherry almond tsrt with ice cream. Fabulous quality good at very reasonable price. Excellent value and will definitely return when we visit Clifton again.

The best place for a drink in Clifton. Bob is a tremendous barman and the atmosphere is always superb. Highly recommend!

Second year we have had our office Christmas do here. Food tasty, good value and plenty of it!

Popped in last minute with my son and his friend. Managed to get a table. Absolutely delicious sausage and mash and what whopping Yorkshires!!! Staf were very friendly, service was great.

Ironically maybe, for a meaty place, best vegetarian nut roast I've ever had and I've been veggie for 33 years now! Bath Ales great too and friendly, informal service. Nice atmosphere. 5 stars because were with great company too ;)

I went here today with my friend to sample the Christmas menu. The food was fantastic and the staff were lovely. Very highly recommended for a work night out, Christmas or otherwise. I'll defo be going back :)

I had a very tasty sausage sandwich with skinny fries. Great friendly service and lovely selection of food. Will be back.

Service was very good and the food excellent. Very large choice on the menu catering to all tastes.

Had a lovely meal which everyone enjoyed! The belly of pork, the sausages and the fish were all spot on. All the food was gorgeous. Fabulous choice of wine at reasonable prices - Phoenix Three Choirs was lush and it is also a Gloucestershire wine which is impressive. Service was friendly, chatty and quick. I will be back!!

Great place, our waitress (Amazing Grace) was delightful, and the food extremely good. Can't recommend highly enough - rounded off a day in Bristol perfectly. Try it - you won't b sorry!

Fantastic meal whilst visiting my sister and brother in law in Bath. Service & staff was top rate and the Reindeer & Cranberry sausages were fantastic. I would happily visit again.

Fantastic lunch there on Saturday- Sausage, mash and onion gravy followed by sticky toffee pudding. Food of the gods! And excellent service from our waitress.

Eat there yesterday and was very impressed by the outlook an position and excellent service and lovely food . Would recommend it to all .

Does what it says on the tin. Not super complicated food by a really good standard of home cooking. The yorkshires are big and crispy the gravy was full of flavour and the sausages were amazing what more could you want! We didn't book but were seated pretty quickly and grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited. Service was nice and friendly nothing wowed me but they were good.

Clifton sausage is a great place to dine, friendly staff and great food and great value, would totally recommend!

Amazing food as always. I would also like to say a HUGE thanks for all your help with my nan who collapsed in your restaurant, you really did make the situation a lot easier for us and helped us in every way you could! Thankfully after a night in hospital she's a ok! �

A celebration of sausageness - tasty food, good service and lovely atmosphere �

1st time here food was lovely and staff very friendly. Only down side is it was so cold in there

Yummy sausage rolls and pigs in blankets to share...nice atmosphere...good platefuls...but be wary of the £18.50 lamb trio....it is not as advertised on the menu...tasty but not what they promise.

Very nice but they didn't have the pudding I wanted! Service was great and she was very friendly. We were sat in the pub area but this was very loud and just wasn't what we wanted!

Fabulous. Went on a recommendation and it was fully worth the walk from Bristol Centre.

Not sure it's worth the price the toad in the hole is very mediocre I would guess not home made

This was a special occasion which was not as good as previous visits, which are many. Service was very slow. Air con non extended and informed out of service, found out this was for at least three years. Come in the sausage we deserve better.

The service was really great and a lovely restaurant and nice however the toad-in-the-hole was not good at all really burnt and solid in places! 5 of us ordered this and all were the same especially as it was not that cheap but mash and onion gravy great
