We loved our stay here in a family room. Room was lovely and clean and sea view beautiful. Would recommend the afternoon tea, it was very tasty. Evening meal and breakfast were very good too. Staff very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay here again in this beautiful building. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Took my wife and mother-in-law to dinner here on Sunday evening. We received a very warm welcome and had fabulous service and excellent food, highly recommended, we'd definitely go again, thanks to all the staff on Sunday for looking after us so well. Mr & Mrs Phypers :0)
There are many adjectives to describe the staff: helpful, pleasant, timely, informative, organised, flexible.
The place: clean, quirky, well appointed, well provisioned, great views, comfortable, great restoration within the Edwardian confines of the original building.
The food: well prepared, detailed yet attention to flavour persisted, plated simply, good breadth of menu, no fuss. Wine list to the point.
Thanks for a relaxing stay!
Our overnight stay was amazing at this lovely hotel. We had room 34 which was a deluxe room. It was absolutely fab. Couldn't fault a thing. Freestanding bath & a lovely walk in shower. Bathroom was really warm too with loads of mirrors. Huge comfy 3 poster bed. A lovely seated area with a table that u could look out with a fab view. Amazing breakfast too with a wide choice. Would definitely stay here again!
My family have had a 50th wedding anniversary celebration and several meals where we just pop in even with the dog and every time the staff and Richard have been warm, welcoming and ensuring our needs are met with my gluten allergies. Love our meals and family chilling time in there.
Many thanks to all the staff and management at the Cliftonville Hotel for making me feel so welcome. The service and food was nothing short of outstanding. I was entertaining the guests for the Christmas party ..what a mind blowing night and so looking forward to revisiting in December 2017. The staff also helped me at the end of the night which was really helpful after an extremely long day.. If I could give more stars for the hard working team of staff, I would by the bucket load Many thanks to you all .. this venue to anyone out there for Birthdays Weddings or private functions is an absolutely no brainer .. highly recommended,,
Lovely olde worldly hotel, we had a lovely room with 4 poster bed. Staff gave great service and the Bolton Restaurant served fabulous food. Highly recommended.
Lovely evening for Valentine's day. Very attentive staff and delicious food
I've not stayed here but had many a meal in the bar and also in Boltons Bistro. Absolutely love the place. Full of character. Spent one winter afternoon sat in front of the fire in the front reception area. Absolutely gorgeous. The food is always nice too
I've just celebrated my 50th Birthday Burlesque style, we had gone to see an amazing show in Cromer Theatre, before that we had our pre- theatre meal at the Cliftonville Hotel... just sublime! I would like to Thank Richard, Heather and all the wonderful staff for making us feel so welcome ( especially as there were a gaggle of dressed up Burlesque ladies!) and providing us with an absolutely stunningly gorgeous meal. Five star service. I'll be back to stay!

Amazing christmas party evening. LOVELY meal good service and we danced all night to a fun disco a table of 9 and we all had a great night. Just have to say how Christmassy it all felt a perfect evening.
Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful hotel, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the room was so elegant with a very comfortable big bed,the food from the bistro was fabulous and the view was stunning,I didn’t realise how close we were to the sea until we opened the curtains in the morning ❤️ this was a surprise birthday treat from my boyfriend,he certainly is a keeper, thank you to everyone at the hotel for helping to make this years birthday amazing xx
A group of ladies and I went to the Christmas party evening we had a lovely meal which arrived piping hot - the dining room was beautiful decorated too .The staff were friendly and efficient and gave a brilliant service even the disco was a great success playing a variety of music.A really wonderful evening! Well done to all the team and I’m already hoping that you will repeat this event next year
A great hotel, lovely staff. I’ve never stayed here but eat here regularly and personally I believe it’s the best restaurant in Cromer, great value and superb food. The chef obviously hides his light under a bush, he cooks everything to perfection with great product and he’s not scared to season the food as it should be. If you want old world charm with excellent service and lovely this is the place for you.
Great staff very friendly and helpful , bathrooms need to be updated if I'm ohnest but over all very nice .my son husband and two dogs and my self had a great time . Shame we were on lock down because of some silly people. We would visit again for sure
After a night at the gunton arms and a night at the pigs in Edgefield this was OK. Room was clean, view was spectacular. We ate in the bistro, food OK, not spectacular. Wrong wine was brought, we sent it back. No biggie, but wrong wine and right wine were both on the bill, so check carefully
well what can I say about this hotel. Rooms very nice, clean all you could ask for. Staff very poor . They don't like kids. If your a family person. Dont go to this place. Would not let by two year old son sit in the brestfest room. They take your money for it they you dont have it. Lefted the place straight away. Would never go back. Made us feel very unwelcome. Telling us we had to sit in the bar. Our money is welcome but your not. A disable child is pushed in the bar. Just wrong .
