Clinical Research Network East Midlands

We are the NIHR Clinical Research Network East Midlands and we support the delivery of health research across the East Midlands region. This includes Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Derbyshire. We are committed to provide the infrastructure that allows high-quality clinical research to take place in the NHS in our area, so that patients can benefit from new and better treatments. We help to increase the opportunities for patients to take part in clinical research, ensure that studies are carried out efficiently, and support the Government's Strategy for UK Life Sciences by improving the environment for commercial contract clinical research in the NHS in the East Midlands area. We are passionate about the contribution that clinical research can make to our patients lives, and work collaboratively with other NHS providers to translate that passion into the effective delivery of studies in the area. To do this, we make sure that clinical research occupies the place it deserves to in the day-to-day work of the NHS across the East Midlands area. Our area includes 16 Trusts, 19 Clinical Commissioning Groups and other qualified providers of NHS services. We are hosted by University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
