"It’s a Saturday morning in Southampton, and I am four metres from the ground, clinging to a wall and suddenly remembering that I am terrified of heights."

Big up to these girls (and their mums)! Ella Whittaker, Lottie Tomlin and Lilly Tomlin.
As the girls adventured round Clip n Climb Chelsea, their mums sat in the cafe with cups of tea and coffee (quite right!) allowing the kids to do the 'hard work' while they enjoyed some down time.
... The girls said "we loved every second of climbing, and really enjoyed racing up the 'Speed Climb Wall' against each other to see who could win!"
A big thanks to Lottie and Lilly for visiting us all the way from Brighton, we hope you had an amazing time!

Any of you guys been to PayAsUGym? We had three of their staff Jenny, Adele and Kelly come and pay us a visit at Clip n Climb Chelsea. They had never climbed before but saw us on Instagram (👉@clipnclimb_sw6) and thought they'd give it a go as an alternative way to stay fit!
Not bad for first time climbers!
... T‍‍h‍‍e‍‍y're definitely worth looking into, they sell 1 day, 5 day and 10 day passes for loads of different big name gyms in the area (for example... Nuffield Health Battersea Fitness & Wellbeing Gym, ONE LDN, Yogasphere) ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍

Following yesterday's inspirational post on Margo Hayes, we wanted to share a post-workout meal with you guys!
*Caribbean Salad With Sweet Orange Vinaigrette* This colorful salad makes an awesome meal for those nights you can’t decide what to eat after a workout. Brimming with grilled chicken, fresh fruits and veggies and a homemade orange vinaigrette, it’s especially perfect on hot summer nights. Make the vinaigrette ahead of time and use leftover grilled chicken to pull thi...s together even faster.
Recipe by Our Best Bites
Ingredients
1 large bunch Romaine Lettuce 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, grilled. 8 ounce can mandarin oranges, drained 1 red bell pepper, diced or sliced 4-5 green onions, sliced 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro 6-8 tablespoons dried cherries or cranberries Black or regular sesame seeds optional: diced fresh pineapple
Vinaigrette 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice (about 1/2 of a large navel orange) 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar 1 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard 2 tablespoons sugar 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt 3/4 cup canola oil
Instructions
To prepare dressing, combine orange juice, vinegar, dry mustard, sugar, sesame oil, and salt in the jar of a blender. Blend until sugar is dissolved. With blender running on low either remove stopper in blender lid, or crack the corner and slowly drizzle in oil, mixing until just combined. Store dressing in fridge until ready to use, can prepare a day or two ahead of time.
To prepare salads, divide lettuce between 4 plates, top with grilled chicken, mandarin oranges, bell pepper, green onions, cilantro, and dried cherries or cranberries. Drizzle with dressing and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serves 4 main dish, or 6-8 sides.

Totally inspired by this chic! Last year Margo Hayes, 19, became the first woman to successfully climb "La Rambla" in Siurana, Cataluna, Spain. La Rambla is a 9a+/5.15a-rated climb, which is considered to be the hardest rating possible in a typically male-dominated professional climbing world.
Unlike most 19 year olds, she can spend up to five hours a day doing workouts.
... “Some days I’ll be at the gym for hours, climbing and running or conditioning,” Hayes says. Whether she’s in Colorado or France, she sticks with her base training, which is all the indoor gym exercises that prep her for climbing. She doesn’t often use the moving climbing wall (think of a treadmill, but vertical), but instead will sometimes work on endurance by climbing up the regular rock wall for 35 minutes, climbing back down, resting, and repeating again.
“Pretty much every night, I make a big salad,” Hayes says. “The first time people see me eat dinner, they’re like, ‘You eat that whole thing?’” She admits that she eats super healthy, but she eats a lot of food. Her go-to salad add-ons include salmon or chicken, plus brown rice or quinoa. She also loves sweet potatoes, avocado, and chia seeds.

Spotlight on: Frankenjura
It’s one of the most popular climbing locations in Germany, located in northern Bavaria. The entire range extends between the cities of Bayreuth, Bamberg and Nuremberg. It consists mainly of steep limestone crags and boulders, but you also get some amazing picturesque views of the surrounding villages. With around 10,000 routes, Frankenjura has something for all difficulty levels. The area is primarily a forest terrain and the cliffs have a number of holes and pockets for easier manoeuvring. There are numerous spots for campsites and the nearby villages have bed and breakfasts for climbers looking to stay overnight. Hands up if you want to visit 🙌 comment below if you've been or know someone who has? 🤘

We’ve been invited to a birthday party and it was extremely fun. My kids (10&7) can’t wait to go back!!⭐️👍🏻⭐️👍🏻⭐️

Went to a fitness class here last night. 10/10 would recommend, Dave and Dane were tops and put through our paces. Killer workout and will be sore for days! Solid 90 minutes of hard work but LOVED IT.

User

We had a brilliant time and my friend and I will be coming back again soon so I can face my fears and do the extra challenges. It is a shame they aren't included in the price but I'm sure the experience is worth it.

User

They were very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.

User

The adult only sessions in the evenings are fantastic if you want to try something different for fitness or just have some fun. Caramel shortbread upstairs goes great with the coffee too

User

Thank you so much for a super fun time! It was a great workout and the staff were very friendly and helpful and made sure to ease my awkwardness since I accidentally happened to book a session with a whole bunch of kids.

User

My two boys had a fantastic time at Clip n Climb; even though one is afraid of heights he felt completely safe in the Clip n Climb environment and took things at his own pace and gave everything a go! It has a great atmosphere, plenty of staff and great coffee. Next stop...chel-ski

My 11 year old loved it here! He can't wait to come back again. 3 adults also climbed along with his 5 year old sister. Great fun for all ages. I still ache 2 days later, so great work out as well as fun

User

It is great place and our daughter absolutely fell in love with clip n climb. We highly recommend it to anyone.

User

I've been coming here with my kids for a couple of years and we all love it. I organised 2 birthday parties, most recently my son's 9th and I joined in!

User

I visited with two 7 year old girls and I climbed with them. We all had a wonderful afternoon. Clip n climb is good fun for all; the staff are wonderful, the location is great there is parking nearby and a sweet cafe onsite. If you're not so confident (like me!) don't worry, you will leave with a huge boost and have lots of encouragement along the way. Can't wait to go back for an all adults session!

User

Great place for all ages!! Staff are young, engaging and enthusiastic. If you don't feel like climbing theres a lovely coffee shop situated upstairs with a great view of arena. Would highly recommend

User

First time visiting clip n climb - I absolutely recommend! We did an adults only session and ended up having the place to ourselves (there was four of us). Our instructor was really friendly and a good laugh. So much fun, definitely give it a go!

User

Clip n climb is a great place to visit whether you're a child or an adult. A fun way to get your exercise for all levels of ability. I have brought my son for quite some time now to the one in Northern Ireland and only today visited the one in Chelsea. Chelsea has a great cafe, super layout and is accessible. We love to have family time here and I can't recommend it enough. Super, friendly staff and great coffee to boot.

User

Came with my twins who are seven and do normal indoor climbing. They loved it and said it was better!! I managed a few and terrified myself on the 'leap of faith' . Excellent venue and great fun for adventurous kids and parents alike don't just think it's for the little ones - get out and enjoy it with them! Sone are not that easy for adults, the triffid one I couldn't even get off the ground!! Will be back just wish it was closer - well done

User

Absolutely love this place! It's clean, colourful and so much fun for the kids and adults... If you can stomach heights. Ok value for money and quite spacious. Cafe is well stocked, clean, modern-cosy feel. You're allowed to bring your own pack-lunch which is cool. Love the lattes and the view of the next-door skiers from the viewing gallery! Good location and staff were helpful, friendly and professional. I like Clip N Climb because there's no membership fees or pay for and induction 30 minute session, unlike other London climbing centres! Straightforward. Not everyone wants to climb every week! My only complaint is the extortionate price for the skiing next door for the kids. Definitely will attend again as the kids loved the experience and can't wait to come back!

User

We had a great time, staff were very good and attentive. Annoyed that the Stairway to Heaven, Leap of Faith and the drop slide were a £5 per go, per ride extra. Alright for the residents of Chelsea but not good value for most parents.

This is not clear from your glossy video.

User

We went as 2 adults and 1 child, not an activity you can do as a group. We were let loose with no help, assistance or advice. We'll stick to trampolines in future

I attended for a 5 year old's birthday party with my 4 and a half year old son. The staff are nice enough but they are extremely disorganised and do not adequately supervise, instruct or assist the children. My son managed to climb only two walls in an hour! A total experience time of 1 minute 30 seconds. He spent the rest of his visit trying to figure out how to get on a wall. He repeatedly asked the staff for help and they kept clipping him into walls that were way too hard. When I tried to help him I was told that I had to leave. Eventually, he got so bored and frustrated with not being able to do anything that I had to go in again and help him. The staff simply wander around from place to place and fail to notice when the kids need help. They tend to clump together in one area leaving the rest of the place unsupervised. At one point, a little girl was standing in the middle of the floor crying and no staff member noticed or helped her until her mother came down from the cafe to rescue her. This problem could easily be solved by having each staff member be responsible for a "zone" of 3 or 4 walls, that way they can monitor the queues, help children who need it and see how long the children have been on the wall. The second wall my son climbed, he waited for about 10 minutes while one child went up and down multiple times, then he got clipped in climbed up about half way, fell off and was immediately unclipped and sent away. It was a terrible experience due to the poorly trained staff.
