Clipling

Clipling is a social clippings book designed to help people share, discover, compile and organise interesting news and stories with the help of others. The site aims to provide an alternative to the way people inform themselves and share news and stories online, in a context where there is a huge amount of info available and yet internet users tend to visit only a limited number of sources. This situation, combined with researchers such as Nielsen suggesting that recommendation /WOM continue to be the two most trusted sources of information, points to the need for a global platform that helps users to collectively share, discover, compile and organise interesting news and stories with the help of others. Clipling is now in private beta mode, having been launched in Nov 13. Registered users can post, access, compile and organize clips, carry out searches, and follow other users to stay up-to-date with the contents that they share. Unregistered users can only see a selection of them.
