Clocktower's very own Derek's story :) ........ This was my first gig, drumming for Arctaurus- I was supporting my favorite band (at the time) A week or so later I got home from work to my mum saying that Dave Brock had rang -imagine my surprise! I was invited to audition for Hawkwind!...next day my best mate Em drove me down to London for the audition. Halfway through our journey (it was the 70's) I decided to take a trip.......well I remember the first 5 minutes, something about red leb and that is all- needless to say they didn't ask me back- there's a moral somewhere in this tale......😊

Yes its 6 months since the fire at the North end of the Edwards Building on St Michaels Trading Estate. The burnt building has not yet been scaffolded and covered and this makes it appear that the whole building is out of action. This is completely wrong the furthest end is still in full operation and the business units struggle to survive despite the decimation to our footfall. Clocktower Music and all the other business units would love to see you all.

Spent many a happy hour rummaging through the racks here at Clocktower Music. There is a lovely vibe in this shop, Roy and his staff are friendly and knowledgable ... there also a Rockola jukebox, pinball machine and lots of vintage hi-fi - what's not to like ?? Also as a weekly customer I like the surprises of new stock ... mostly secondhand vinyl. Stuff doesn't sit in the racks for too long because it's thoughtfully priced and in good condition. Go and visit !

It gets better every time I go! Friendly staff with obscure information about bands and celebs, a few humorous anecdotes and always a discount when buying a number of pieces, no bigger temptation to revisit.

The shop layout works really well too.

If your in Bridport, spend time here. Excellent selection of records organised in a neat & orderly fashion. Just make sure you give yourself time to find those gems!

Great time looking through the £1 boxes of vinyl. Found some lovely interesting artists in great condition. Hoping to get back to see if any Dwight yoakam available. Lovely staff and great atmosphere with music playing and pinball machine and even comfy seating. Can't wait to visit again. Anyone who loves vinyl MUST pay this awesome shop a visit

Great place to visit to browse through original vinyl and wonder if your old turntable is still in the loft and still working! Friendly atmosphere, and even some entertainment on offer for those in your party that that think that music only comes in MP3 format!
