As Harbour Master of Clovelly, 6th generation fisherman and avid local historian, Stephen makes the trips interesting and memorable for you and your family. His boat Neptune (BD69) is the last wooden boat working from Clovelly Harbour. She has been boating in Clovelly for over 40 years. Ring to book your place aboard or turn up in summer when the tide is in!

Neptune has once again been stripped down to her undies ready for the grand repair and repaint that happens every year. This year is a special one for us, as it marks Neptune's SIXTIETH BIRTHDAY! Her Diamond Anniversary!

Neptune has been craned into the water at Instow and has safely crossed the Bideford Bar to arrive home in Clovelly for another year. The grand lady of the Harbour returns!
We also had Clovelly's youngest resident aboard for a trip today (who just happens to be the skipper's youngest child!)....and she slept through the whole thing.
The skipper had a few seagulls flying along with the trips today, possibly because of the pasty crumbs leaving a trail behind the boat!
The skipper Stephen saw what he initially thought to be a large pilot whale fin about 40ft from the boat whilst fishing yesterday. However there have been a couple of sightings of an Orca whale in the bay and he now believes this is actually what he saw. Amazing!

After a rough ride over the bar, chasing the tide all the way to make it into the harbour, Neptune got a glass of whisky to celebrate being home ready for the 58th season. Soon be taking you lovely people out tripping!
