CMR held its 3rd Dodgeball Championship at Jesus Green, Cambridge last week. As Jim Grant, one of our mechanical engineers, says: “What could be better than spending a beautiful summer's evening throwing balls at your favourite work colleagues?”
The London to Cambridge bike ride is now an annual event for CMR, with a team of almost 20 employees undertaking the 60 mile challenge this year. As a team, we have raised over £300 for Jimmy's Cambridge who do an excellent job of supporting the homeless of the city. The warm weather made the riding hard work, but we're pleased to say all got round including one unicyclist, who achieved the feat in a little under 11 hours!

Congratulations to CMR engineering intern Robert Pope who launched a high-altitude balloon from Cambridge's Churchill College last week. The balloon reached its maximum altitude at 29km (95,000ft) up, about three times as high as commercial jet. Here's an early morning shot as the balloon was about to launch.
CMR's got talent! The Portland Arms in Cambridge was the venue for our recent social night out. Musicians, jugglers and singers from across the company put on a great show, entertaining us all and raising over £100 for Jimmy's Cambridge http://www.jimmyscambridge.org.uk/.
