The world is confronting increasingly complex and interrelated issues that can only be solved by just in time co­operation between actors world wide, in a way that respects each actors autonomy and confidentiality requirements. Co­operating systems CIC researches, develops, maintains, and provides services around an open source software platform to enable fluid, secure and just in time collaboration between autonomous organisations based on existing and emerging open standards. The software stack covers a server component and open source Human Interface Libraries that can read and write open linked data to access controlled resources anywhere on the web. This will enable a server-independent client application ecosystems to emerge. We will provide a paying cloud service enabling new actors to join in one click, enabling anyone to move their data to their own servers at any time without loosing any links in the cross organisational network they have built up.
