Did you know that less than half the public are aware that they have a choice of hospitals when accessing NHS treatment, and that patients have a right to choose to be treated at a public or independent hospital and that the hospital is paid the same for the procedure. A key feature of the NHS Long Term Plan is that it provides patients with a wide choice of options for elective care, including finding a provider with lower waiting times, and that patients will continue to have choice at the point of referral and anyone who has been waiting for 6 months or more will be reviewed and given the option of faster treatment at an alternative provider, with money following the patient to fund their care.

Cobalt Hospital would like to send our Congratulations to Jane who gained her Advance Life Support (ALS) qualification last week. Well done. 👏🎉

On Wednesday 19th of June staff at Cobalt Hospital baked a bounty of cakes for the Alzheimer's Society Cupcake Day and raised a whopping £171.00, thank you to all those who baked and to those who donated.

On the 19th of June Cobalt Hospital held its Charity Mole Event and raised £279.00 for Cancer Research. We would like to thank all those who attended and donated and to Mr Alrawi Consultant Plastic Surgeon for seeing 48 people in 2 hours, and to Cobalt Central for allowing us to use their Board room.
