my first MRI at my local hospital didnt go as planned and i had a panic attack. i couldn't face another one.

my consultant referred me to the cobalt for an open MRI.

all the staff were brilliant. i was extremely anxious and they reassured and made me feel relaxed.

much to my amazement i went ahead and completed the scan.

this is a fantastic place and i cant thank the staff enough for their support.

thank you all very much :}

User

User

They was the most nicest staff I've ever met. Straight away got seen made sure I was okay and comfortable don't forget warm.

I've been to such a lovely place so warm and welcoming, after it was all finished got made sure I had a drink and snack to make me feel better then called me a taxi when I was ready to go home. Thank you so much you are so kind

User

The receptionist was very welcoming, asked if I was warm enough and offered to turn the heating up if I was cold. The staff were excellent, very friendly and made me feel at ease. Would recommend Cobalt to anyone.

User

Thank you so much for your patience and kindness! You were all fab!

User

Just wanted to say a very BIG thank you to everyone who had to encounter me on Monday from checking in to the lovely lady who did the questioner with me (gorgeous ginger hair) even though I was crouched on the floor as sitting in the chair was too painful ! And then the 2 gentleman who did the open mri scan, taking the time to crouch on the floor along side me to chat and reassure me! Then both men took time to get me settled and as comfortable as poss and promised to get it all done as quick as they could. I can't say it will ever be any easier but you all made me feel so much less of a nuisance that I know I was! Again thank you with all my heart for dealing with the nuisance that was me x

User

I was terrified to have mri as i had one not long ago and only managed 8 min as it was a closed one the staff were grest explained everything i managed 45 min my hole scan the open mri the builiding was very clean staff were perfect thank you very much

User

I traveled up from cornwall yesterday to have an Mri I am hugely claustrophobic and can’t face any normal Mri scanning machines. But my experience at this clinic was so different. I was still nervous and very apprehensive but the staff where amazing so calming and made me feel like a person and not just a number. My partner was allowed in with me could even hold my hand. I’m not going to say I enjoyed the scan but everything else made it much more bearable. So thank you.

User

I have had a number of MRI s at JR hospital in Oxford and I hated them! I've always been claustrophobic, but nothing approached the fears and upset of my last one where I was in the old mobile scanner. Here, at Cobalt, the experience couldn't have been more different. In Oxford, the staff are lovely, efficient, kind and calm but of necessity have to process you through like a machine, whereas here they were just as lovely but were more relaxed and explanatory. My daughter came in with me, could hold my hand throughout and it was a totally different experience. It's still not top of my list of favourite things to do but it's bearable! Thank you, Cobalt.

User

I am claustrophobic and had too have an open mri scan at cobalt. I would like too say thank you too the amazing friendly staff who helped me get through my mri and understood my fears and explained everything too me and my mom who was also allowed in with me too hold my hand through it all. The staff made sure I was comfortable with every step before they proceeded with what they needed too do. I would highly recommend cobalt too anyone that wanted a friendly professional clean and helpful environment too go here. Thank you again too all you amazing staff.

User

User

After my mum had a panic attack at hospital when she was about to have an MRI... She was then referred to Cobalt Imaging for an open scan.. We got to have a look around before the scan appointment which was a real help to my mum... Then at the appointment I have to say all the staff were absolutely amazing with my mum and made her so relaxed, and she successfully had her scan! Cannot express enough what a fantastic place this is... Thank you all so much xxx

User

A great 1st time experience. Easy parking, free wifi and drinks while you wait. Warm, friendly and reassuring staff.

No dramas at all 5*

User

Would just like to say a massive Thank You to Anthony Wager and Anne Marie and staff at cobalt. I had my 2nd attempt mri in the open scanner yest (fri) and have to say I was so at ease, made all the more easier by friendly and helpful staff. It wasn't a pleasant experience for me at all, especially after my first attempt aborted the scan with a panic attack (apologies for that). Your staff are a credit to your company and I can only thank you and them very much for making my experience easier by being so caring.

User

Visited today for a MRI, felt very nervous but the staff were lovely..A very warm thanks to Donna who was so caring and helpful explaining the procedure. Fingers crossed for positive results now.

User

Very polite staff on reception and very polite staff doing the ct scan . But for some unknown reason by the time I got to my app at the general the cobalt unit had forgotten who I was and didn't recall me being there despite going straight from there to general . Dr urgently wanted to see scan results but because of lack of even acknowledging me was not helpful .

User

The staff were friendly and welcoming and the whole place was very clean., I didn't relish the thought of having the Mri but if you relax things are not to bad I was just determined to get it over and done with after waiting for such a long time to get one . So thank you colbalt .

User

Quite impressed with this centre. Friendly, efficient staff, and also comfortable waiting area for relatives with tea, coffee etc. Only minus was a 30 minute wait after being called through to actually have the scan.
