We're currently staying here on a rare night off and what a beautiful place this is. we're staying in the � room it's a spacious, rustic style room with everything you need but with plenty of modern twists, the food is exceptional and the staff attentive without being intrusive. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back love from the Jay's Mayfair management team.

We have just had our Wedding at COB and we can't thank Althea, Jane, Sian and the team enough for making it such a special day. Seamless coordination and nothing was too much trouble. The room looked stunning and everything ran so smoothly. THANK YOU so much.

We had our wedding at the Cock O' Barton in June, from the very start of planning the staff were amazing, helpful and completely down to earth. The day was beautiful, Alethea, Sian and the other staff made sure that the place looked perfect and that everything we wanted went ahead.



The venue is stunning with beautiful decor and bedrooms, we received so many lovely comments about the place and the food which was fantastic.



Amazing memories from our special day at the Cock O' Barton. We have since dined here for my birthday, again the food was excellent and have enjoyed Sunday lunch too, we will be back before long.

We got married at the Cock O’Barton on 19th May 2018 and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The staff couldn’t have done more for us and their attention to detail was amazing. They used all of our decorations provided and made the Private Dining room, Courtyard and Marquee look stunning. The food was delicious and service was fast and smooth. All of the staff were so friendly and excited for us and helped us with anything we needed throughout the day. We can’t thank them enough for making our wedding day run so smoothly. 5 star service!

We got married at the Cock O'Barton at the start of June and had such a great day! It is a beautiful venue to get married in and we had the marquee for the wedding breakfast which was also lovely. In particular we would like to thank Alethea and Sian for helping us to organise the wedding and for all the correspondence and assistance in the run up to the big day, Sian and Lindsey for helping on the day itself and ensuring things ran smoothly, and Caroline for making sure the Prosecco was flowing and the guests were kept happy in the evening! All the way along we were made to feel welcome and comfortable and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was fantastic as expected - we had lots of positive comments from guests about the wedding breakfast and the evening food. Thank you to all the staff who put such hard work and effort into making the food so delicious! Also, the bedrooms are superb and we had lots of nice comments about them as well. So thanks to all in the team who had a hand in making our day so lovely and memorable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Cock O'Barton as a wedding venue in future.

Visited this place for Sunday lunch this afternoon and it was simply superb ,fantastic staff, divine food and definitely a five star experience.

Really enjoyed Dave's 50th celebration last night, your staff are so efficient, polite and friendly. The food was excellent too!! Thank you all!

My husband and I had an early dinner here on Tuesday 31st October and had a lovely time.

The atmosphere was laid back, the staff were the best that I have ever encountered and the food was exceptional, I would recommend the steak burger and cheeseboard.

Altogether a great experience, thank you.

Me and my husband spent the night as we were visiting our daughter the next day in Chester university the room was stunning staff could not do enough for us we checked in late asked if we could have a meal in the restaurant they said they were very busy ( which they were) but they seated us within 5 minutes and our meal was served within 10 minutes the bed was lovely we had a really nice sleep very peaceful and the breakfast was lovely will definitely be returning!

Lovely, clean, quiet, air conditioned room with a comfy bed and countryside views. Amazing waterfall shower. Friendly, attentive staff, really accommodating over my strict diet, both at dinner and breakfast times, (the waitress even brought the chef out to discuss exactly what I wanted to eat!!). The perfect place to unwind. Will definitely come here again :)

Lovely family evening last night. Fantastic food and amazing service and even though it was early evening my 2 boys were made more than welcome by all the staff!!!

I had the pleasure of been the main photographer for a wedding held at the Cock O'Barton, normally I don't leave reviews when I am working at a venue as I don't normally experience the venue in the normal way...however this time was different, the staff welcomed me like a long lost relative , they worked very hard all day long , with a smile and always happy to answer any questions. Now... the food, simply out of this world. So tasty , hot and presented very nicely, served with a smile. Top marks, to all the staff and what they do. I will be visiting again soon, to enjoy this place when I am not working .

Called in for Sunday lunch as we were passing by...opted for the restaurant rather than the bar although to be honest bar area looked fine. We both opted for Sunday lunch ..food was lively ..proper home cooked (gravy was delicious) ..service was excellent ..the decor was lovely..really enjoyed the whole thing and will definitely go back now we have found it ...maybe even for our wedding ..who knows ?
