User

when i was playing minecraft a lot, i was intrested in this coding test. i live in israel, and every year here there is a cyber championship with the game "codemonkey" between second and 12th grades, and i really love codemonkey!!!!! and minecraft coding too!

What makes Code Kingdoms the top learning scripting platform in the market are its support team they are always there to help you on your coding struggles. Not to forget about the great drag and drop easy to use Code Editor. Beside that the good and funny and helpful video instructions. Thumbs up too to the actual games they develop as part of the training. My son and I are really happy with it and are learning lots of Lua coding. Thanks to all of you!

So I don't normally rate things on Facebook although I probably should more. But I gotta say that I'm very pleased with Code Kingdoms. I think all kids who are interested in Minecraft and would like to take a shot at coding their own mod should be given a chance to use Code Kingdoms.

The drag-and-drop interface is a fantastic way for a beginner to get started at assembling logic between the classes. The dev/staging servers being compatible with both Pocket / Windows 10 Edition and the standard Java edition is super awesome.

My son tests his mods on his iPad and Laptop secondary monitor routinely and I only could wish that I had something so cool when I was a kid.

Even if an adult wanted to play around with some modding of Minecraft just for fun to learn some coding its worth the money.

Sure, the interface has glitched a couple times and we've had to troubleshoot. But if you can't deal with that, then coding isn't for you. Patience can be important. Contact support if you have trouble.

My son has been using Code Kingdoms for a while now and loves it. He is autistic and loves anything to do with coding, games and Minecraft. Now if you could just incorporate Pokemon in as well he would be in 7th heaven lol. I love the fact that he is learning while also doing something he enjoys. The price is very good as is the support. Highly recommended.

My daughter did a trial of this today and we will be purchasing soon. She is 12 and absolutely loved it, in her words. "coding is the best thing ever". The customer service of this company is amazing. She did struggle in the beginning and the guy that helped her was fantastic. Taking time out on a Saturday to help kids, goes beyond anything I have ever known from a company. Their ethos and what they are trying to is fantastic. I highly Recommend this product and this company. Awesome! Thank you

My 8 year old son has worked through many of the courses and is now starting to write his own Minecraft mods. Pitched perfectly for young Minecraft fans - easy to follow and funny videos, and brilliant games that they actually want to play. We weren't keen on him playing on one of the big online servers, but now we can play all his favourite mini games on his own private server - and even better he gets to code them and personalise to his tastes! Now just need to build up my skills so I can actually beat him on some of the games...

My 7 year old son is passionate about Minecraft and he taught me how to play with him on the Xbox platform. I decided to leverage his love of minecraft and see if he might like trying his hand at learning how to make mods using Code Kingdoms. I was a little unsure if a second grader could make sense of the tutorials but they are so well done and literally lead your child step by step that he truly is able to get through the tutorials and finish the mods on his own provided server. Support was helpful when we got stuck on one of the tutorials because we had a misunderstanding about which button to place an action on.

I knew things would go in spurts as his time allows and his gets busy with soccer and other activities, so I signed up for a lifetime membership when Code Kingdoms offered a deal on social media. I'm glad I did. For me, it's important that teaching my son how to code be fun and come from his initiation.

My wife is a pediatrician and is very sensitive about how much "screen time" my son gets. Using Code Kingdom with my son is about as good as screen time gets. He's learning to code (without even knowing what that means) and having fun testing out the mods.

My 6 year old son and I spent the day together working through the early Minecraft mods courses. I have to say, as a developer myself, I was really impressed with the content, though it helped that I could step in to assist him when he got stuck because the link between video content and tasks for the student could get a little tricky.

The drag & drop interface is intuitive, though the navigation a little problematic at times, but my son got on with it fine and was quickly working with some pretty solid coding concepts like methods, global variables and constructors. He was really excited all day, and the fact that he could play and preview his creations on his minecraft server was just great.

This is a great way to build coding knowledge with the perfect application of game mechanics and interaction.

My 10-year-old son started coding Roblox today and absolutely loves it. It's so nice to see him doing something productive in the summer, rather than just playing Roblox :) The tutorials are fun and engaging and the coding interface is super intuitive. Nice work!

User

Kids always love to know how things work, and my niece is now applying that intrigue in a way that's really exciting and valuable. In the future, it's not going to be enough to be able to manipulate spreadsheets. The most marketable people of tomorrow are going to be well versed in the inner workings of technology. Code Kingdoms facilitates this. Using Code Kingdoms has kept her engaged, which will hopefully encourage her to stray from the gender stereotype that coding is for boys! I definitely recommend this product.

Just signed my 8 yr old daughter up and she is hooked. She is minescraft Crazy anyway and she is so excited at learning to code. She has followed the instructions herself and is completely enjoying it. Just wished we had got the lifetime now not monthly. So far we have no complaints

Coming from someone with professional experience teaching and coding, I am super impressed with Code Kingdoms product.

User

Code Kingdoms is a really clear and fun way for kids to learn code - interesting videos and great support!

User

Awesome tool that my 11-year old boy has found very engaging. Really responsive and excellent support team. Brilliant tool to help kids become fluent in today's digital world where programming becomes part of normal literacy. Highly recommended!

User

AMAZING! After using the free trial, my twin nephews can't get enough of this! The tutorials are super simple and the projects are so fun. It's a fantastic product that is clearly well created. Definitely worth the money!

User

A great product is a nice way for kids to learn the basics of coding plus and master English. I highly recommend this product to informatics professors in elementary schools.

User

Trial was great. But so many tears and upsets with further sections not working as they should. And the issues seem to be getting worse recently. Gutted we paid for a lifetime subscription as all its done is make my daughter scared of coding :(

User

Not sure if using Roblox as a base platform is a great idea. Considering how many schools and parents have been warned off the game due to unsafe interactions with strangers. Your recommended ages cover the years that our school bans them.

Interesting.

User

after three weeks on code kingdom with my two kids with two subscriptions, the result is not very good.

My kids hate it and I hate it. I find the interface extremely badly laid out and confusing, but more importantly we find the content very attractive at first with the fancy films and subject matters, but the actual coding is not introduced in an interesting or engaging way and the results achieved are very underwhelming.

We find ourselves fighting through the interface to make some very uninteresting coding without any context or explanation where we only copy blindly what the lesson says.

I was very attracted to their approach but end up extremely disappointed.

I very strongly recommend a free trial period to avoid further disappointment. The live helpline has also proven to be pretty unhelpful..
