Tested the new @the_coffee_run #sevensisters train station. Fantastic project with @mattrawworksinclay #assemblearchitects and @artontheunderground 😍 A former newsagent kiosk empty for a decade has been transformed with handmade tiles- each one unique. A kiln was put in the actual unit to finish it off on site. With such a ray of creative sunshine in a station that plays classical music to keep the peace, I hoped it would get the level of coffee operator deserved. Station cof...fee can be a terrible thing of charcoal necessity- so expectations were low. Seeing a #linea was a good start (although 3 groups is overkill and anyone seems to have one). The price was low and the archetype coffee cup logo with steam lines caused an expectation drop again. But a friendly Barista and spotting @unionroasted gave hope. Wham! A smooth flat white with some tidy latte art. "Low price" changed to "bargain". Archetype logo seen in new light. Expectation smashed. Happy commute.
