Lovely coffee shop in the waterfront, great coffee and service. Appreciate that they are open quite late which is convenient for those who fancy a nice coffee after 5pm.

Best coffee in Ipswich. Comfy sofa/chairs, relaxed atmosphere lovely views over Neptune marina. Go there.

Great little coffee shop along the rather popular Waterfront area of Ipswich. The coffee is always pretty darn good and certainly for coffee, one of my favourite in Ipswich. The food selection is limited but packed sandwiches and panini's are available as well as a nice selection of cakes.
Nice seating area upstairs and like other reviews mention, window seats have a lovely view across the marina.

One of the many coffee places on the Ipswich Waterfront, this one at least has some character. The coffee is always serviceable and the sandwiches and cakes likewise. Not much by way of hot food seems to be available, so more a place for a meet and a chat than a lunch.
Don't miss the upstairs seating area, its much more roomy and bright than downstairs, and the seats by the windows have a lovely view across the marina.

Well, where do I start…
We entered the cafe and started to browse for a drink. We were immediately approached and asked if we wanted to eat in or out, if we wanted food or drink, etc. We found this very pushy as we had not even decided if we wanted to have a drink there yet or not.
The customer service received after was disgusting. I have never been spoken to or treated like this by an employee before. When we walked in, it was clear to the employee that we were students due to our student IDs and lanyards on show. However we weren't offered student discount and when I requested it on my friends drink that had already been purchased, we were refused. Eventually she gave us the difference, but it took far too long for a simple task that didn't even need manager approval. The staff member was rude and abrupt. She made it clear that we created an inconvenience for her and weren't given the basic standard of customer service we expected.
Due to the lack of variety on the menu, I chose not to purchase anything on this occasion, but my friends did. We sat down at a table and I began to eat a snack I had in my handbag. I was then approached by the employee who had been watching me on cctv and was told I couldn't eat any food not purchased here, despite all my friends purchasing items. I felt very alienated by this and couldn't enjoy my visit here.
The dishes given to us were dirty and the furniture and walls were in a very bad condition. The windows had bird poo splattered down them.
I would highly recommend that everyone avoids this cafe and I will not be returning.

Coffeelink take great pride in the quality of the coffee which they roast themselves and offer a wide variety of drinks and tailor according to your preferences.

The staff are friendly and helpful and the owner takes time to speak to customers despite now running several branches.
