Hi all, just thought I would update you on Lucky, she is doing really well. She is still going to the vets but this has now been reduced to twice a week for treatment on her leg and a change of bandage, the vets are really pleased with how it is improving. She is also receiving treatment for her skin and this is also showing signs of improvement. She paid a visit to us in the kennels this week and enjoyed seeing everybody again. She is a lovely dog and we cannot thank you enough for the chance you have given her.

LUCKY *****UPDATE***** Thanks for all your fantastic donations, sharing, caring and the love we have received for Lucky. She has been to the vets today and after reviewing the wound and the improvement in this since Monday we are going to try and save her leg. The wound has been re-treated for infection and re-bandaged and she has gone home with a staff member Julie for her convalescence. She is due back at the vets on Monday for a bandage change. We are literally taking one... bandage change at a time and keeping our fingers crossed that the wound starts to heal, this is by no means guaranteed. As you can see from the photos she has settled in nicely at home. Night night Lucky. Kennel Assistant. We are looking for another kennel assistant to work every weekend. The hours are 9:00am to 4:30pm Saturday and Sunday. You must have a passion for dogs, high standard cleaning skills, responsible, reliable, honest, loyal, hardworking and friendly with good communication and writing skills. Duties include; cleaning kennels, feeding, exercising dogs also working with customers including completing and processing of paperwork. The ideal candidate must be a team player and willing to assist with cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure that the kennels remain at a high standard. Let me tell you about Hope, she is a Caucasian Shepherd who was found one evening roaming near some fields in Leicestershire. A kind gentleman took her home and called us but advised that she was bleeding! Hope was collected and taken straight to the vets, she had in fact got a Prolapsed Uterus. She was made comfortable and was operated on by Meadow Lane Vets the following day. After a few nervous days for us all we were advised that she was doing well and responding to treatment. She was eventually allowed home to us at the kennels where she has been spending her convalescence in our Isolation Block. She is a really lovely gentle giant and it was with tears in our eyes today that she went off to her new home. We wish you a happy and healthy life Hope.

Due to a drop in the temperature and a few dogs coughing in the kennel we have decided to stop dog walking until Monday. I will post an update on Monday on Facebook. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

We are looking for a Saturday Person to work 9am-4pm every week. Ideal for somebody at school. The role will involve making sure all the vehicles are cleaned and stocked for the following week
