Dear Guests & Friends of Collett’s Mountain Holidays
Our winter season in the Dolomites has come to a premature end due to the early closure of Dolomiti Superski, as a result of the travel restrictions in Italy. The good health of everyone is a priority and we respect the tough decisions made by the Italians.

Valentine's Day in the Dolomites - Wish you were here?

Each September we invite high level trekkers to join us on 5 consecutive stages of the celebrated GR11 high in the Pyrenees. Including a night in a mountain hut, the scenery is awe-inspiring and includes the mind-boggling Ordesa Canyon.

A few years ago we sent the co-author of ‘Mountain Flowers – The Dolomites’ to the Picos de Europa to have a look. This is what he said, “I have never seen such a wonderful display of mountain flowers. The whole area was a magnificent natural rock garden with gentians, saxifrages, daffodils, pasque flowers and many other species. A great variety of orchids – no fewer than 33 species were seen, some in huge numbers. A beautiful meadow, pink with hundreds of pyramidal orchids, was particularly memorable.”

Meet Mike. No wonder he's looking happy! He's in the gorgeous Upper Engadine in the Swiss Alps, our newest centre-based walking holiday destination. Mike and his partner, Emma, have been members of the Collett's team for several years. They spent Summer 2019 researching Switzerland for us. In the Engadine they found just what they were looking for.
