About Colne Town Council

The Facebook page of Colne Town Council in East Lancashire, bringing happenings from Bonnie Colne on the Hill.

Colne Town Council Description

Colne Town Council was formed in 2008 to boost events in the town throughout the year, to manage its allotments and, of course, help represent the interests of the people of Colne within Pendle Borough Council and Lancashire County Council. We have 17 councillors and conduct business on a monthly basis in the council chamber of Colne Town Hall. You are welcome to come to our meetings. Here on our website you can read minutes of previous meetings and view a calendar of future meetings.

What we are not is a Borough Council, so have no responsibility for housing, bin collections or Council Tax. If you have a query regarding any of these matters, please contact Pendle Council. If you have a concern about street lights, road maintenance, or education, please contact Lancashire County Council.

Outside these areas, if you have anything you would like to bring to The Town Council’s attention or have a suggestion about initiatives could get involved with, please contact the clerk, or an individual councillor.
