As ever, beginners and more experienced yogis new to Colour Yoga can enjoy their first class free! However, I am still scheduling Free Yoga classes to first-time students for my return, and previous yogis get that all-important loyalty card filled-in. Colour Yoga news -
A) Tomorrow, Sunday 26th November is the last Sunday class of 2017 (6.30pm - 8pm).
B) The last class of 2017 will be this coming Wednesday 29th November (9.30am - 10.45am).
... C) Colour Yoga will be taking a break for the month of December.
D) Term starts again on - Wednesday 3rd January 2018 at 9.30am Sunday 7th January at 6.30pm
E) The price of Colour Yoga classes will increase by £2 (so, Wednesdays will be £10 and Sundays - slightly longer - £12).
F) That said, I will continue to offer a sliding scale of fees to those out of work/ on Benefits/ struggling financially, who are more than welcome to attend Colour Yoga for a discretionary donation.

I always plan my yoga lessons around a theme - for example 'chest-openers' or 'psoas stretches' - or base it around a particular pose, such as last Sunday's class on the near-impossible Maksikanagasana Dragonfly (thankfully we were doing it in a restorative setting on the floor, supported with bolsters and blocks aplenty!). As I sit planning Wednesday's lesson, I'm emailed by a prospective student asking me to explain Yin Yoga. 'Ooh, that's a good one!' I think, and I go about writing a reply. So in simple terms, here's my interpretation of Yin Yoga - as I like to teach in my classes: Yin is a slow kind of yoga which works on the deep connective tissues of the body - the tendons, ligaments and fascia - and is wonderfully calming.
