This week we took the brave decision to focus on pumpkins (that was a lot of soup for one) and we had other spooky spectaculars done.
Beautiful colours and images using both peacock images as inspiration and feathers to create abstract.
Watercolour masterclass held in a stunning location. BA Hons teacher. 3 full hours. Small class size. All materials provided. - just bring yourself. Plenty of parking. Fully accessible venue. Friendly and fun.
Rebecca initially went through the construction of the generic face followed by everyone completing their version of Mr. or Mrs. Generic, moving on to focus on the eye and then producing their work of art.
Well, a lot of shaggy dog 'tails' this week and underwater scenes using oil pastels and ink. Fantastic results as you can see in the photos. Not sure if my fingers will ever be clean again. Jacquie
Please tell all the contacts in your messenger list not to accept anything from Fabrizio Brambilla. He has a photo with a dog. He is a hacker and has the system connected to your messenger account. If one of your contacts accepts it, you will also be hacked, so make sure that all your friends know it. Thanks. Forwarded as received - DO NOT DO THIS!!! Hold your finger down on the message. At the bottom in the middle it will say forward. Hit that then click on the names of those in your list and it will send to them
I thought this should be shared and please make others aware, thanks Jacquie
This week we used oil pastels, inks and pencils for our creations. Yet again the sun was shining and we got out on the terrace to admire the views. Fantastic imagination for our artwork.
Using Inks - 1 - Incorporating Negative Space and Mark Making - examples of ink work and attached to class e-mail https://mailchi.mp/…/pencil-work-week-i ncorporating-cones-2…
This week we introduced inks for the first time at Welwyn. Combining this with drawing cylinders (cans), shading and texturing using mark making techniques. These were all mono ink pictures and in a later week we will be venturing in to multi-colours.
What a beautiful animal! Amazing response to the new camera. Jacquie
Thought for the day - perhaps!
This week we started with mark making, a refresher in how to make your object stand out from its surroundings. We then explored the world of cones - how to draw them, how to shade them and the background. This led on to the 'teapots' and pencil drawing, shading and using all the techniques learned previously.
Well it has to be Scottish!
Mark making using charcoal and chalk. Drawing a circle freehand and with shading turning it into a sphere. Charcoal work of fruit, foraged foliage and pinecones.
Catch something with Colourwheel!
