We came as a hen party of 15 of us on Sat and a smaller party on the Sun . We loved it ! Site is easy to get round . Standard festival bar prices . Toilets were maintained regularly ! Two different days to suit all tastes in music . This is my second year and I will be back next year . I like the size of this festival which is not yet too commercial and I hope it stays that way

User

This was my daughters first music festival and I think it was a really good one for her first one. She loved the atmosphere, she loved the music and she is now ready for more festivals this summer. The music was good and the bag searches on the way in made it feel like a really safe festival to be at. The toilets were always clean and fully stocked and the circus tent was a winner!

User

This was a really well organised small festival. The bands and disco’s were all excellent and everyone had a good time.

The staff were polite and toilets well maintained. Security did a great job and offered water and sun cream out.

The food stalls offered a wide selection of delicious food.

There was plenty of trees near the kids section to take shade between the performances.

I had an amazing day and look forward to next year.

Thank you

Myself and my husband came to the Saturday, it was an absolute blinder of a day. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I really appreciated the fact you had free tap water supply. I drink a lot of water and begrudge paying the earth for a bottle of water or having to carry a rucksack of bottles around with me. The food was great. Loved the duck wrap and our crab chips. I wasn't hungry but I wanted to try every stand there was so much to chose from. We left the festival buzzing but absolutely gutted that we didn't have tickets for the next day. The line up was a perfect balance to set the vibe. Can't wait for next year festival. Well done to Rob De Bank and everyone that is apart of the festival. From singers to bar staff to litter pickers. You all make the festival work. Thank you very much.

Love this great little festival in the heart of our city. It caters for a wide diversity of musical tastes and the VIP option is a godsend if you have feral children with you.

The short walk home afterwards is the cherry on the top!

All in all a great vibe - love it xxxxx

User

I'm surprised at peoples comments that this was shabby. The events in my local area are not a patch on Common people which I thought was brilliant. The crowd dynamic was so mixed that there appeared to be little or no trouble. All in all this was a well managed event with toilets galore, a range of different foods with short queues. The bars did a fab job at preventing under agers from purchasing alcohol. I think the organisers did an awesome job!

User

Had the best day ever kids had so much to do we did vip which was amazing thank you see you next year

User

First ever festival, we arrived early and we're stopped by security twice so felt that they we're managing things well, especially as someone tried sneaking past without a ticket. Bags were searched fairly well tbh, however I did notice many people with their own alcohol and some people even taking drugs. It's going to happen no matter how high the security was. Looking at some reviews I wonder if bag searches got a little lax the later people were being let through. Either way me and 3 friends had an amazing time and the music, catering and toilets were on point. It was good there were urinals for men, still fairly long ques but to be expected. The toilet rolls were being replenished each time I went to the toilet. You don't see that much at other events. The litter at the end of the night was appalling, great respect for the litter pickers this morning or last night that had to pick it all up in feel for ya. Thank you again will definitely be coming next year!

User

Brilliant day out in the sun listening to some great music. Nice atmosphere all day. Queues were short, prices not too ridiculous at the bar, staff happy, and..portaloos stocked with toilet roll all day

User

What happened to the inflatable church? Giant disco ball? And the burrito food stall?! No jam jar bar either. There was a lot less there than previous years which was unexpected when it was advertised as ‘bigger and better’.

User

What happened to the giant disco ball advertised and promised on posters? :(

I would have liked to have seen more options available in terms of drinks. Water is fine but fruit punches or non alcoholic cocktails would have been nice. Most options are centred around alcohol. The children's area was nice but it was the first time mine have been so had nothing to compare it too.

User

We enjoyed both days, however overall it seemed like a real lack of effort had been put into the festival compared to previous years. Noticeably reduced amount of food and drink stalls. Appeared to have lost its charm. Seriously thinking twice about going next year, even though it’s a lovely festival right on our doorstep

User

Nice small scale festival and lovely atmosphere but the bar staff were completely over the top with ID. Our group were 34, 37 and 40, haven’t had to show ID for years so we didn’t bring any and being our first festival we weren’t aware maybe this is ‘the norm’ at events like this. Maybe make it more clear on the info pages on the website? We were unable to purchase any alcohol and whilst we still had fun, a few drinks in the sun watching the bands would have added to the experience

User

I personally had a brilliant time what let it down for me was having to breath in so much weed.!!! I think the bag searchs were shocking and there were people who were taking pill infront of us.! Yet there was one guy who was sat in our group who got picked up by about 8 security for selling a few ponchos they wanted him to be kicked out.! Maybe they should do a better job of trying to keep the drugs out the whole place stank. Sean Paul and Fatman Scoop were incredible, you defiantly should allow people to bring there own drinks tho the prices were very expensive but for the price that we paid for the ticket it was completely well worth the price. 🙌🏻

User

Great local event, for us it was all about Pete Tong! It was a bonsai Bestival with main vibe coming from the sugar skull tent until the main stage kicked off. Given recent events the security was poor, no dogs, no body pat down on entry or even a thorough bag search - one of us strolled in unchallenged with a bottle of water in our back pocket! I saw 4 police officers in total over 9 hours - all were outside of the grounds. The average reveller age was late teens/early 20s, the food selection was good and no bar queues 👍🏻Pete Tong and the Faithless DJ set were my highlights.

User

We are really dissapointed in the kids area. Its lost a lot of its original charm. No spinney hollow no crafts and more money sucking rides.

You seem to have put a lot less effort into things this year. Not impressed.

The wonderfull thing about the event was the detail the thought that went into every stall and attraction that generated interest and smiles. Not any more...

Every year we say not sure we will bother next year as every year it gets a little bit shabbier but i know already that we wont bother next year.

User

The music was great!! I really loved James. It is just a shame that they need to rob people for food and drink. 1 & half pints of cider, £10. Shocking. One cheeseburger £8.00. Oh dear, Say no more. Money money money!! I just hope that they do recycle most of the waste from the day. x

User

Previously I'd given the festival 5 stars but this years festival was nothing like it was. The staff were very good and the sun shone but Saturday's acts lacked the 'big' headliner you would expect and the disco ball and inflatable church that were advertised weren't even there. The children's area was lacklustre compared to before and there seemed to be less food outlets, so less choice and the price of food and drink now is beyond a joke. There will have to be a very special act appearing next time for us to return again. Disappointing.

User

Had a good weekend overall. I thought the atmosphere was much better than 2016, and having the stricter kids rule helped with this I think. No large groups of kids at all, which was great, considering last year some of them caused a bit of a nuisance. The toilets were very clean and well attended, and drinks queues were relatively short. In terms of the music I feel it was better on Sunday, as the acts on the Saturday were a bit limited in terms of big names. However, due to a glitch in the system when I bought my tickets online in April I was charged for a weekend ticket yet did not receive this. As a result I was forced to buy one on the day for a more expensive price, as I assumed this was a customer error rather than your error. This meant I spent in total almost £140 for a weekend ticket. I later found out that my friend experienced the same problem, and was thus disappointed that when discussing this issue with the box office staff they were not more forthcoming with information, hence forcing me to buy any ticket. I've sent more information via the email an email you've provided. Would you be able to tell me when I'll be able to get a response to this? :(
