Creating Industrial Clusters in Africa to Promote Employment Generation and Poverty AlleviationMSME Limited (UK) are an autonomous new Social Enterprise. Our objective is to realize the unique concept of industrial clusters comprising inter-complementing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with low key manufacturing and trading units. Taking advantage of more than ten decades of family and personal hands-on manufacturing experience. The clusters are skilfully constructed to alleviate poverty, by establishing value-adding chains along with skill development, employment creation and entrepreneurship for the underserved people in the developing world. We work with governments to support the creation of industrial clusters that are financially, economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable. MSME Ltd industrial clusters initially focus on setting up micro, small and medium enterprises with support of Industrialists from Europe and from South East Asia in the following sectors in collaboration with local partners from Africa: • Motor Cycle and 3 Wheeled Rickshaw Manufacturing • Light Engineering Workshops (Automotive Parts Manufacturing) • Commercial Vehicles & Generators Engine Re-Conditioning• Textile Projects – (Weaving & Garments)MSME Ltd also assist funding through foreign funders for following approved projects: • Energy /power projects (solar, mini-hydro, independent power)• Commodity trading • Affordable housing projects• Minerals exploration and mining projects• Infrastructure projects • Properties development MSMEs are acknowledged as the main engine of growth in any economy. Their operations and investments cover all aspects of economic or business activities. We encourage policy makers, governments and their agencies to provide the requisite technical, technological, financial, managerial assistance and infrastructure needed to support SME opportunities.
