Community Development Hailsham

Community Development Hailsham working for the communities of Hailsham and its surrounding areas.

Objectives

Community Development Hailsham will aim to provide services in 7 core fields predominantly within areas of social and economic deprivation in Hailsham: Children and Families, Young People, Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities, Employability and Training, Healthy Lifestyles, Wellbeing and Community Activities.

The services would endeavour to:

Relieve financial hardship.
Relieve unemployment in such ways as thought fit (e. g. assistance to find employment, the advancement of education, training or re-training particularly among unemployed people, and providing unemployed people with work experience)
Provide recreational facilities for the public at large or those who by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances, have the need for such facilities
Promote public safety and relieve the prevalence of crime. Community Development Hailsham may involve itself or lead on other related activities from time to time if deemed appropriate and beneficial to the local community and this would be subject to the prior written consent of the charity commissioner for England and Wales.
