Community Needs

A voluntary organisation run by young people delivering social action projects to meet community priorities. We run summer programmes, half term projects.

Community Needs is a voluntary organisation run and managed by the youth. That have been around since August 2011. We currently have a strong team of 40 dedicated active members and volunteers that spend on average 15 hours a week carrying out tasks for Community Needs. We aim to help the community, in terms of education by providing free courses in order to allow the attendee's to gain free qualifications and things like basic IT skills, NVQ's, Health and Safety, employability skills, help improve personal and social development. We also aim to promote social inclusion and break down barriers between ethic groups to great a diverse & community. To do these we'll be running numerous events, activities & summer courses. We'll also be running fund-raisers in-order to help achieve our aims to promote social inclusion, break down barriers and also generate money for charity.
