Community Party

Community was formed by a group of friends who came together to create a grassroots Party, aspiring to represent diverse communities across the UK and put people at the heart of our democracy. Community is a response to the current political climate, which is becoming more polarised and isn't working for everyone. Many of those who should be busy representing their residents and constituents are instead consumed either by petty party politics or infighting, or are instigating some form of class warfare, all for the sake of personal ambition and fame. Community is different. We are about collaboration and cooperation at every level. We will work across traditional political divides to provide practical solutions. We will respect difference. We won't waste time fighting ideological battles. We will focus on the issues that matter to you. We recognise the need for everyone to understand what Community stands for, whether locally or nationally, and we are committed to providing decisive leadership and clear policies. However we also recognise that positive and effective policy decisions can also be made at a local level, and those affected by decisions can be best placed to make those decisions. Instead of a dogmatic, purely-ideological approach to politics and decision making, we aim to be flexible and want to encourage debate and discussion to allow for different perspectives to be shared and expressed where appropriate. Whether you live in a city, a small town or in the countryside, Community will represent you and will strive for change in building a fairer society. Community is the home of open-minded, respectful and caring individuals from all walks of life, whether they be experienced community champions or residents just wanting to make a difference in their areas. Above all else Community is about tolerant people working as one, in the knowledge that we can build a better society if we work together. We commit to putting "People Before Politics"
