We are Compliments of The House (CoTH), a registered charity that collects fresh, surplus food and gives it to people in need. Recognising the need for an innovative approach toward tackling hidden hunger, food poverty and food-waste in Britain, Founder and CEO Sinead Browne first established CoTH late in 2018, Within just a few months we were serving food to the public out of a disused railway arch in Brixton, and by no later than November 2019 we had already welcomed over 230 guests, while pursuing the opening of two more hubs in Hackney and Cornwall to further our reach. Our vision: to nourish our guests with food as well as nourish them through food – improving their mental and physical wellbeing and helping them back into paid employmentOur mission: to educate Britain on the resourcefulness of food-waste for nourishing those in need Our values: Community Love, Dignity, Efficiency, Empowerment, Inclusivity and Fun! We do this by: creating safe, fun and inviting hubs that give a warm welcome to everyoneoffering volunteer opportunities so our guests can learn new skills arranging work placements with the businesses that give us food and signposting people to services that can help them
