Compton Archery is a group of new and experienced archers who meet at the Downland Sports Center for archery. I took my GNAS Archery Leader qualification in 2012 and soon after was asked to restart archery as an activity in our village.

Given the success and popularity of the group, I passed my Coach L1 award in 2014 and plan to go through the higher levels of archery coaching so I can better assist everyone and further boost archery as a sport. We are very lucky in that we can shoot whatever the weather in a fair sized sports hall. This gives us an effective 20 yard range indoors and we also have access to a fully fenced school playing field giving us a much longer range potential when the weather is fine.
We shoot recurve bows generally and long bows and other medium poundage bows are welcome.

We have some club equipment which is all of a reasonable standard
