Computational Thinkers Description

Computational Thinkers was founded with the mission to empower future generations by instilling the fundamentals of Computational thinking in them. We aim to inspire them to become tomorrow’s inventors through our partnerships with schools and our after-school and holidays coding classes, CODE100Club.
In order to achieve our mission of Every Child, a Computational Thinker, we take every necessary steps to ensure our provisions are very affordable so it can be available and easily afforded by every family with numerous sessions beneficial to children, teachers and parents provided free of charge. We are able to achieve this because we have been fortunate to build a team of individuals who are not motivated by financial gains but are driven by their passion to develop children as Computational Thinkers. The next time you meet any of our team members, please help us to commend them so they get reassured that their honorable service is valued. To be honest, we do not think they need the reassurance as they would not have had it any other way!
Through our program, children explore Robotics, 3D printing, photo manipulation, game art creation and many more. They learn about programming, electronics, and mechanical engineering in a fun, challenging and engaging way. They start in Scratch (a visual programming language) and as they progress, they move on up to Python (a more advanced programming language) using gained understanding of 3D printing to customize the robots. Our Photo Manipulation series allow children to customize their sprites (animation / game images), incorporating their created graphics resources and sound into their animation or digital story telling projects. In learning to create animations, children will create their figures, bringing these to life by creating a sequence of animation frames.
These and many more are the skills being learnt which is why it is not surprising that children never want to leave at the end of sessions! In order to ensure that learning continues even when children are not with us, we encourage them to create online accounts so that learning can continue to take place anywhere and everywhere.
Considering the experience of our staff, they are well-placed to ensure that children grasp necessary required skills as they have great understanding of how children learn best. Our facilitators are carefully selected based on their technology-related skills, their passion for the development of children as Computational Thinkers which is well-translated into their admirable drive to inspire our future tech enthusiasts.
As the technology industry is fast-paced, we are forever developing our staff in order to ensure that they are abreast of new technologies as they arise.
