A few of our staff members have had a challenging week last week helping raise money for our charity of the year Woodlands Hospice Charitable Trust
Liz, Libby, Dani and Louise took on the Adventure Dock inflatable course in the Albert Dock on Sunday.
Claire, Liz, Libby, Lizzie, Paul and Dani tested their Tough Mudder training at Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Wigan on Wednesday evening.

On Friday night Blackpool Housing Company and Blackpool Council won two awards at the Northern Housing Awards for the Queens Park Regeneration project!
Development Programme of the Year, and Regeneration Scheme of the Year.
Congratulations to the whole design team, and of course the other winners on the night.

On the 14th May 2019 CLA attended the Specifi Ltd Architecture event at the Marriot Hotel in Liverpool. We were very proud to be voted 'Project of the Year' for Love Lane Brewery, Bar & Kitchen project for the Liverpool 2019 event!

Today at the office we have been getting involved in Breast Cancer Awareness month and “wearing it pink!”
Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK and raises money to help and support those who need it and we are pleased to have been involved. #wearitpink

The CLA team attended the annual @LBTFACADES ten pin bowling event last night. We had a great time trying to defend our title from last year, but got 2nd place! Still a great effort by all and great fun...we will hope for better luck next year!

Recently we completed a design package for a new car showroom and auction house in Ghana. We are looking forward to seeing it being brought to life, but it might be a long way to travel for weekly site visits.

Last week Peter from the office attended the RIBA North West Material Conservation Course in Liverpool. The day intensive course, hosted by David Watkins was highly informative and discussed various conservation topics and different aspects of traditional materials including stone, brick, mortar, and timber.
The seminar provided an insight into the different challenges faced with the repair of historic buildings, something which we encounter in the office on a regular occasion.

Planning permission granted for 8no. 4 and 5 bedroom executive dwellings on a brownfield site in Wirral.
The courtyard inspired site layout provides a high-end residential development, which street furniture and vehicles to appear enclosed and allow for a green and open feel, with rear gardens that act as a ‘green buffer’ to the surrounding agricultural land. The material composition of each dwelling will seek to harness and enhance the architectural language evident throughout the local village and provide an attractive place to live.

Planning permission Granted! We are excited to have recently received planning permission for this private dwelling project in Lancashire. The scheme looks to make use out of a vacant and run-down dwelling, and bring new life to it as a modern, high quality private family home, with open plan living and large bedroom suites. The site is set within a Conservation area and on Greenbelt Land, and is situated on a beautiful plot surrounded by mature trees. Our client was keen to make use out of the former 1970's bungalow dwelling, and retain the linear proportions and large amounts of glazing. We will keep you up to date with the site progress, and are really looking forward to seeing the final project completed.
