Congo Children Trust

Congo Children Trust’s vision is to improve the quality of life for street children in the DRCongo. CCT works through project Kimbilio in Lubumbashi.

Congo Children Trust is a charity registered in England and Wales, raising awareness and funds for the Kimbilio project.

Kimbilio, is based in Lubumbashi and runs four homes and a day centre for street children in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo.

Since 2009 Kimbilio has been working directly with children living on the city’s streets, helping them to overcome their personal challenges and begin to build a future with hope. Kimbilio seeks to reunite children with their families wherever possible and appropriate, which is a difficult task in a country as vast as Congo, with poor infrastructure and widespread poverty.

Congo Children Trust is run by a small team of volunteers and administered by four trustees and is based at St Margaret's Centre, Brantingham Road, Manchester, M21 0TT
