Congo Fashion Week

About Congo Fashion Week

Congo Fashion Week is a premium event and the OFFICIAL Fashion Week which has been taking place in both Congo, The Republic of Congo (2012) and the Democratic Republic of Congo (on-going). Since the creation of Congo Fashion Week in 2011, its launch in 2012, the country itself has received good press from the event rather than the usual war, rape and corruption reports. There is a need to grow, to expand and develop within our communities, as Congolese primarily and Africans on a much larger scale. Covered by Vogue Italia, Refashion Africa, France 24, VOxAfrica, Africa 24, The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles TImes and many more, Congo Fashion Week is the platform Congo needed to develop its fashion industry. We believe in women empowerment through creative arts and entrepreneurship, we believe in young people owning successful businesses and being part of a great movement of change. Congo Fashion Week is not just about Congolese, is also a celebration of Africa's offspring, the rise of a generation of trailblazers for a global empowerment. As Africans, we are ONE!
