Connect UK Nationwide Ltd act for a varied range of clients with portfolios of managed properties across the UK that are mixed and diverse, ranging from blocks of six units, through to large developments. Block Management Specialists - Managing a block of residential flats or a mixture of residential and commercial businesses is a full-time job in itself. Not only do the day to day maintenance issues and upkeep of the communal areas have to be kept on top of but to manage the block successfully the managing company must have a great understanding of legislation. This includes property legislation, commercial legislation, landlord and tenant law all while being great at problem solving. Preparation of budgets and annual accounts goes into the administration side of the management which must be edited and updated on a daily basis. A major part of our role is to ensure that the freeholders and leaseholders get value for money for their service charge payments and that the building is maintained in accordance with the lease terms.
