Just the tool to de stress with after a hard day . NOT . This thing is a weapon . I mean it’s possessed ! It just makes you want to open the taps at every available opportunity and scare all the local wildlife and children . This is the feeling that got me into bikes on the first place . BRILLIANT !!!!!

Weymouth beach race !! Absolutely fabulous . Don’t know how these guys do it . Exhausted just watching them . Think Ill have a sit down and beer ...

For those of you who appreciate the finer things in life you will of course have noticed the T150 in the photos . It would appear that a small minority of French bikers have exquisite taste and I introduced myself as a fellow Trident owner !!!! I was of course immediately embraced as an old friend and in broken English the owner began to tell me all of the disasters he’d had with the bike . I then told him of my multiple blow ups etc and I feel a new “Entant Cordial “ has been reached between our nations !

The most fabulous day . Wonderful roads , brilliant weather the whole lot ...

Look what we found in a Harley Davidson Electra glide fairing, fresh in from America!

A huge thankyou to all at Crescent Motorcycles . My first new helmet in quiet a few years and I love it !!!

User

A quick 15 mile shake down on a truly lovely motorcycle . This 1956 T100 is going to a new owner tomorrow which is a real shame as Is love to keep it for myself .

User

Ah look . The mighty Trident has got a friend .. How on earth did the British motorcycle industry fail when they produced such magnificent machines ????

User

The mighty T160 on the beach . Fabulous ride on the Jurassic coastline . I think I feel a beer coming on ..

User

That was a long old haul . Now through the Mont Blanc tunnel and into France . We've got a B&B for the night in Chamonix . Not a bad view I think you'll agree .

User

Halfway between Milan and Turin . Clear blue sky and over 80 degrees . Bit of a shame the van threw the air con drive belt !!

User

And that's it . The Giro is over . A fabulous day once again apart from the last 30 miles in a torrential hail storm . The entire race ended in the main square in Spoleto . 150 bikes with riders in front of a 17th Century church . Brilliant . Photos to be posted at a later date . Thanks for all the words of support and encouragement . Now off to enjoy the party ...

Right . You'll have to bear with me on this one . The longest day of the Giro . Apparently 298 kms but most people reckon nearer 350 . It was Marks turn in the van so we all set off for the first check point .Another beautiful hilltop village wouldn't you know . On the way out James took s tumble and pulled a muscle so Mark got his gear on and James drove the van . FABULOUS roads , stunning scenery and the warmest welcome wherever we went . As I said it was a long long day a...nd about 30 kms from Assisi and the hotel my bum fell off . If anyone in Perugia finds it can they please return it ( undamaged ) via registered post . As the sign "Assisi 7 kms" came onto view I did have a bit of weep ... All bikes back to the square where an unusually large amount of religious sorts were hanging around .. Shady Id call it .. Anyway a fab day and only one ride left.... Back to work next week .. BOO !!!!

Day 4 of the adventure and I am delighted to report all 3 remaining bikes made the course without a hiccup . The little Gilera gets the medal of honour as I held it flat out all day which it took willingly and hauled my fat carcass round 280 kms of the most beautiful scenery and fabulous middle age hill top villages . James gets a mention as he can now start the Aermacchi most of the time and Paul gets the big girls blouse award as he pulled a muscle in his leg kicking the Co...ndor . My mum can start that .. Anyhoo he's been moaning all day . The other highlights include getting a medal ( well to be honest everyone got one ) for turning up at one of the numerous lovely villages . Hospitality has been wonderful with food and drink available at every stop . Assisi is beyond description and the sight of 150 classic bikes outside the cathedral in the main square was truly awesome . Will try to post a few more pictures later but I'm afraid the bar is calling ..,

Ok . A brief update , or if you prefer " A series of unfortunate events " The MV is out of the race so we are using the Gilera the Aermcci and the Condor and one of us is in the truck as back up . Tuesday had Paul in the truck . James dropped the Aermacci at a petrol station before the start and broke a brake lever so that went into the pick up and Paul and myself set off .. Brilliant for 60 kms then the Gilera broke a spoke and got s puncture . We were in a tiny village but ...amazingly there was a small off road shop who fixed it AND managed to do the front lever on James bike .. happy days . We got to the Adriatic coast and had a beer ... Yesterday Paul was in the truck so we all set off and the Aermacci died before the start . BUGGER !! It went into the truck and Mark and I set off . 130 kms of the best riding I've ever had . I mean it was FABULOUS!! Then the Gilera did another spoke !!! Into the truck with that one and Mark finished on his own . A frantic hour last night saw both bikes repaired although it could be worse . There are 3 American guys here and they did a motor swap in the car park last night !! We are now off to Assisi where hopefully St Francis will endow the bikes with some divine power not to break down ..

Ok . Yesterday didn't work out quite as planned . We all got halfway round the course when the MV died . I told the others to go on and wasted an hour trying to fix it . Eventually the pick up crew arrived and loaded it into a van .About 10 minutes later I began to feel fairly rough and had a huge pain in my left leg . I then passed out and face planted the car park . Next thing I was aware of was being in an ambulance and chucking up over the crew the ambulance and myself . ...Next thing I remember Im on s hospital where they've cut the left leg of my jeans off and out a needle in my arm . No one speaks English , I don't speak Italian . Fabulous . After another hour nothing is happening so I made s quick escape . Got to the front door to look for a taxi only to be told that I needed get a bus into town . What town ??? I didn't have a clue where I was . I jumped on the bus with my bits hanging out and got a ride into a town 15 kms from Rome . ROME for gods sake .. A 300 yard walk through the centre of town got me to the taxi rank where Si eventually found s chap to take me back to the hotel . As Iwas half naked with a needle in my arm and stinking of vomit I think he was an ok chap .. 150 euros later He maybe wasn't quite the Good Samaritan I first thought . At least I was back . Mark and James had got hideously lost and Paul had spent the rest of the day trying to find them .. Today on the other hand has been brilliant although not without incident . I'll tell you about it later . Meanwhile here's some pictures of my nads and how not to take your own canular out ...

I would not hesitate to recommend conquest motorcycles for purchasing or maintenance work to any of my motorcycle friends. Howard and his team have a deep knowledge on all bikes and every time I visit there is always a rare old classic in there. 5 ★

I bought an Suzuki SV650S from Howard back in 2009 bike was really up together despite being higher milage and was a really good price. I'm still riding this bike today which has had the vast majority of its servicing and MOTs done by the team here and it's still serves me well today, has always been reliable and is still good fun to ride. Will always get my work done here when I can and would definitely buy from them again.

Hi. I would not as a rule write anything like this but I must say the guys at Conquest Motorcycles are great and do exactly what they say they will. Briefly I purchased a Triumph Explorer in December 2015 and after a short period of time a couple of issues appeared. After talking to Howard and Lee they were fixed by by local Triumph dealer without any issues or hassle and Conquest picked up the bill. This happened a couple of times and the same thing happened a painless issue was resolved. Conquest keep their word and I would say if you are after a bike have a look at Conquest. As bikers know bills can be large, these were large but Conquest sorted it. Give them a go and Happy and Safe Biking to you all.
