Five aviation professionals combining the depth of expertise that you would typically find in an airline's boardroom have joined forces to create an all new advisory agency - Constellation Aviation Consulting Limited (CACL). Based in Central London, the associates are pooling their resources and skillsets to offer a comprehensive range of services to airlines and start-up carriers at a time when regulatory hurdles are exceptionally challenging. Their offering includes tailored start-up support packages for new entrant operators. With backgrounds in airline operations, airline start-ups, licensing and management, finance, law and aviation IT, Constellation's directors will lend support and advise on: economic modeling, business and regulatory strategy; appraisal of travel distribution and operational methods - BSP, ARC and APIS (for airlines planning to fly to the USA and the increasing number of jurisdictions that require this data). Other expertise includes bilateral, open skies and route licensing issues - through close liaison with the Department for Transport and the UK CAA. Constellation can also lend support on route development, market potential and traffic forecasts; the procurement of AOC and related manual work, plus flight crew selection and training. Furthermore, in co-operation with specialist associate partners MS4 and Plane Trading, respectively, expertise is extended to engineering sourcing and aircraft procurement. The group is also positioning to offer assistance with travel trade licensing, including the procurement of an ATOL in the UK.
