The phone number is never picked by so its pointless even displaying it as the consulate's contact number. The staff is helpful but their knowledge to some basic informative questions is either limited or they don't want to share.
Overall, this is what i expected from them as its Pakistan consulate.

I found the staff extremely helpful and supportive. I don't understand why we are always ready to pick on our people given they have limited resources. This is probably the only COUNSLATE/EMBASSY I have been so far, where photocopying machine rates are extremely reasonable, even my home printer would have cost me more. We should be thankful to Foreign office and NADRA to have foreseen the need of people and have fully functioning missions at 5 different places in UK. Be thankful for what other people e.g. Indians haven't got and appreciate your country for giving you so much.

THANKS COUNSLATE GENERAL OF PAKISTAN IN MANCHESTER,
THANKS PAKISTAN.

Expect humiliation, casual racism and a Byzantine bureaucracy

I have seen the services offered at the consulate that's moved three times since the early 80's decline to what is now an experience you will want to avoid. I usually have to visit the country a few times a year hence the need for a visa/overseas card.

When applying for the renewal of an 'Overseas Pakistani Card', first off I was asked what my 'mother tongue' is, which is obviously one's primary language, in my case English, by virtue of having been born and largely raised in England. But no, this was not acceptable, my 'mother tongue' is literally the primary language my mother speaks according to the lady filling in an additional form to the completed ones I had handed over. When I tried to point out her fallacy she then resorted to what was a rather racist comment, namely "is your mother English?", which is typical South Asian speak for 'White', as my mother naturalised as a British citizen over 50 years ago she would be described as being British. When I said no, she then gave me a long list of languages I could choose my "mother tongue" from, that included Dari, Pushto, Punjabi etc. (a perfect example of why they are such a divided country, they can't even use a common language) . Odd that English is missing, which is used in Pakistani courts, the government, military, aviation, medicine etc. and most Pakistani like to speak as much of as possible (often badly) as if they're ashamed of their one language(s?). I chose Urdu, which is meant to be their national language, that my mother taught me to the point of being able to read and write a little of it too.

Next the forms ends up being presented five times at various desks in the small office, with more than one visit to certain desks. More photocopies are requested, never mind the ones you bring with you, that you have to photocopy at a free to use photocopier there, to give to them (?!).

I will probably be fortunate in never having to apply for a Visa or overseas card again, as I doubt I will be around in ten year's time due to my age, and the elderly relatives I need to visit in Pakistan are even less likely to be so; I will most probably not need to visit Pakistan ever again should they no longer be around.

I strongly condemn negative comments. They must keep in mind that, most of the time they wait 6months to Two Years for their ID from H O
This was my first expericne with Pakistan Consulate
I was welcomed by two well dressed officials at the front door who guided me to the right counter. Data Entry was very easy, matter of minutes, fee submitted and everything was done very smoothly.

Aisa possible nai ki staff members ghar pe Akey
Sara process complete karey.

To the staff members: Keep up good work, you are doing very well.

May Allah bless you, the people of Pakistan and all overseas Pakistanis. Aameen

How can you put morons in charge of official positions? They have no manners, no respect and clearly don't live in the 21st century. These are the people who are supposed to represent a country, well they are not doing a great job, anyone from another country would think really is this what Pakistan is?! There was one gentleman who respectful and professional and he is the last person you see who gets your paperwork in order and signs it off. The rest are bunch of uneducated morons who should work in the catering business not representing a country.

So unorganised, the staff are so rude and for a bengali first time going to Pakistan.they just ruined the first step . They lost my husbends visa and then had to wait a whole year till we can travel .its a complete joke .they seem to let their family and friends jump the queues .

User

If i had the power to close this embassy I would. The staff is very rude at this embassy. All the staff they have here works so unprofessional and they have no manners just because they have come from Pakistan.

Firstly a shoutout to all my Apna, Kalas and Goras ✨ Real stuff though, the level of service is awful to call it the Pakistan Consulate of England is dissapointing? I came to pick up a form for my Visa and had to wait for 5 hours to be told that they don't do it at this branch and I have to go the Bradford Branch 🙄 Truley Shambolic 😡

Been to Pakistan embassy in Manchester few times in order to renew passport and documents attestation etc. The staff is very helpful but when they don't get any respect from apna people who actually think embassy staffs are their servants, I don't blame staff to act the way they do. On more than 15 visits I had to embassy over 20 yrs not once a member of staff talked to me disrespectfully, may be because as an educated professional I acted the way we all should act ie. by giving respect and be polite.

Today on Monday 12th December, I came to collect my passport at manchester office at 12:30 pm but gates are locked. I checked before coming on website that it's open from 9am to 4pm.i even called at office many times but no one attends phone. No mention of any lunch break. It's v hectic to come again and again. I'm highly disappointed.

An absolute shambles and disorganised office. They really need to consider revisiting their processes, customer service and methods of protecting personal information.

Can't believe they haven't improved over the last 20 years or so. I've actually applied for Nadra in Pakistan before and it was a better experience over there, so you can imagine what this office is like.

Don't bother trying to phone them, as I don't think anyone man's the phone line either.
