We are the Contessa Vaulting Group. We're an Equestrian Vaulting Group based in Ware, Hertfordshire.
Contessa Vaulting Group Description
Vaulting is best discribed as "gymnastics on horseback" and is an exciting and different equestrian discipline, which offers and excellent way to develop balance, co-ordination and suppleness. You do not need to have ever ridden before to participate and is one of the best ways to introduce people to the sport of equestrianism.
We are very lucky at Contessa to have 4 horses trained to vault. We train every Saturday from 12. 30 until 2pm.

Was great to have Amy back with us yesterday. She got really stuck in with the warm up and gave a super session to everyone.Some new moves were tried out and Puro was a star as usual with taking all that was asked of him. Thanks also to Lizzie who worked with Hamish and going through the routines that we will be doing for our Demo on Wednesday Evening.I hope you have all purchased your tickets for 8/5/19 'An Insight into Contessa' with our Vaulting Team and our Advanced Dressage horses strutting their stuff along with other performances going on. We had a Come and Have a Go session and we had a tremendous response of triers.I think they all had a good time and some were certainly up for having another go! We were able to split them into two groups of fairly equal numbers, one being adults and the other having the younger ones. Was lovely to see all the adults having so much fun and they seemed to be laughing for most of the session, well done to all. The session following this was with our normal team members. We also celebrated with our Birthday girl, Natasha (her two kids vault with the team) by singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY while she was with daughter Lydia on Felix preforming a pairs routine!!!

We are running a Come and Have a Go vaulting session on the 27th of April from 12:30 to 2 pm which will cost £25. We are encouraging ADULTS to come to this session and have FUN. One thing you can be assured off is that you will have a good laugh as well. We run every Saturday normally from 1.30 to 3 pm again the cost is £25 per session this includes warmup, working on the static horse and then actually having time doing the real thing! We welcome any new participants especia...lly if they have done gymnastics. If you have any other questions please give us a call on (01920) 821792. On Tuesday, the 9th of April we held a team Vaulting training day. Which involved badge testing for Vaulting and the Horse Care elements. We had a full on day of learning, vaulting, badge testing, and great fun. I think everybody was exhausted by the end of the day especially the coaches! Well done to all the Vaulters that took their Vaulting and Horse Care badges and they were all very successful. Tina.
More canine fun last Saturday with some new faces joining us which was great. Rufus and Tilly are having such fun Vaulting and having Stay Overs every week with a different vaulter.
This is what all you Contessa Vaulters will be taking part in on 8th May. Remember if you have got family and friends that would like to come along and watch that they will need to get tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment if we are sold out.
Canine flyers.
To be a flyer you have to be small, nimble and very brave. Luckily we have two canine flyers who foot this bill. I wonder what we will get up to tomorrow!?!?
On Monday we had a very exciting day making a documentary type film for a very big fashion house using our Young Vaulters, it was to feature their new Kids Active Summer range of clothing. When the film has been launched we can give more details and show more photos but for now this is all you will get!!!!

Such a lovely yard! The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the horses are absolutely gorgeous, very well schooled and clearly well looked after! Thank you!!!
In a beautiful location, everything about Contessa was perfect. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable that I learnt so much about both riding but also caring for a horse. There are horses for all levels of ability from total beginner (like me) to competing at the highest level and ponies too for the little ones to learn. I'd planned my return visit before I'd reluctantly left the exit gate!

Great team spirt, very keen vaulters wonderful horses and fantastic coaches but most of all we have fun!
Great fun and has taught my daughter great balance and she loves it :)
