About Coolham Live Music Club

Top class gigs an intimate venue

Coolham Live Music Club Description

I have made a big effort to bring some of the finest musicians from around the globe to Ashington and Coolham. All these gigs are non profit making and hopefully will help keep live music alive. You'll not find another venue like Coolham to see world class musicians, it's like having a gig in your front room. Come and have a great night out with awesome music and supper. My thanks to Sarah Reeve and Sarahs Sussex Blues for all her help and thanks to the finest musicians from all over the world for coming to a little hall in a small West Sussex village. See you at a gig soon - Graeme : )

Tickets for this event are ┬Ż15, please email Rich at coolhamtickets@gmail.com to reserve yours. Please bring your own refreshments, food, nibbles etc (and some change for the charity bucket). This is an outdoor event so please also bring any seats etc that you wish. 'Gates' will open at 1.15pm and the first set will start at approx 2pm.
This event will be used as a fund raiser for K-9 Angels, a charity run solely by volunteers and created in order to help dogs all over the w...orld. Graeme's partner, Toni, is a member of their fundraising team.Their mission is to improve the quality of existence of our canine friends from all over the globe as well as educate people about animal welfare. K-9 Angels provides a much needed network link between dog rescuers in foreign countries and prospective adopters in the UK, as well as funding for spay and neuter programmes, food and material aid, shelters, medical and veterinary aid.

Rudy and Heavy Weather are an original band from Southern England featuring Rudy Warman on vocals and guitar, Shane Warman on bass and Zenon Warman on drums. They are longstanding vegans with a love of animals and nature so the choice of charity for this event is absolutely appropriate.
This is part of a revue from Blues in Britain 2015 following the bands first gig on Worthing Pier .They have subsequently sold out at thjat venue on 4 occasions.
"The band, who are currently unsigned, are Rudy Warman - singer/songwriter/artist and vegan on lead vocals and guitar, his brother Zenon on drums and their father Shane on vocals and bass. They play original grassroots, country, folk and blues, and it was refreshing for me to listen to a whole evening of raw and heartfelt numbers without a cover in sight! The two sets this evening were a mixture of energetic and funky numbers that had us up and dancing (which included my favourite of the night, 'Supertramp', mixed with slow and quiet expression filled numbers such as 'Sweet' and 'Lullaby' where you could have heard a pin drop.
This was the band's first ever ticketed gig and they played to a sold out venue. You could tell they were both humbled and chuffed by this from the expressions on their faces seeing the appreciative audience up on their feet, clapping and shouting for more at the end of the evening.
The guys had three cd's for sale tonight and I think everyone in the audience went home with one if not all three of them, the queue to purchase the cd's and chat with the band was the longest I've seen in a very long time!
If Rudy Warman and The Heavy Weather come to a venue near you I'd urge you to go and see them you'll not be disappointed - in their own words "we spread love with music and music with love". Here are a couple of samples of how they do this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-38X712r2 Ew https://www.youtube.com/watchŌĆ”
