June sees us welcome 2 gorgeous wedding bookings and a wonderful 90th birthday celebration booking here at Coombe Trenchard.
Thankfully the cutting garden and polytunnel have been blooming nicely despite all of the recent rain, in readiness for Sarah to get picking and create beautiful floral arrangements for these next 3 exciting bookings.

We couldn't let #BritishFlowersWeek go by without a mention of Sarahs passion for growing gorgeous garden flowers at Coombe Trenchard - and her keen eye for arranging them beautifully for each booking...
A collection of pretty vintage jugs and vases filled with freshly cut blooms placed throughout the main house and outside areas - are part of the thoughtful and caring service provided by Sarah for wedding couples and their guests to enjoy.
Sarah is also delighted to work clo...sely with Coombe Trenchard brides, where possible growing flowers that hold meaning for the couple, along with a selection of seasonal blooms that will compliment the colour way and theme of a wedding.
One thing you can be sure of - there will always plenty of home grown beauties waiting to greet you each time you visit our very special wedding venue.

Continuing with Coco Wedding Venues June social media challenge - today we post a top tip...
Our extensive wedding planning knowledge and experience ensures couples are in safe and steadfast hands at Coombe Trenchard - and with that, comes plenty of great tips, advice and support.
But if we had to pick just one tip for wedding venue and wedding day success - let us talk about the great british weather... (rather apt for this somewhat wet and wild June!)
... When visiting venues to find 'the one' and imagining your day in that location - remember to ask your venue what solutions they offer for each stage of the day during every weather eventuality.
Before you make a firm venue booking, you really ought to know that your chosen venue is going to 'work' in both practical and pretty terms when it comes to your budget, your precise number of guests, the time of year you have in your minds, and in the event of good/not so good weather.
Whilst there isn't a lot you can do about the weather on the day - what you can do is be prepared by having an excellent plan A, B and C fully discussed and agreed with your venue (and all third parties involved) well before the day - so that on the day the required plan can be actioned without panic and with no stone unturned.
Rain doesn't need to stop play - with a little careful planning and the right venue on board.

Beautiful stationery on textured Khadi paper by de Winton Paper Co inspired by the couple’s honeymoon to Japan.
Vintage bone-handled cutlery and cut glass from Keeping It Vintage.
Napkins made by the couple out of recycled French tea towels - representing something old, the couples love of travel, and the brides passion for vintage mix match.
All placed carefully on Coombe Trenchard antique tables chairs and benches, decorated with our terracotta-potted succulents from Sarahs garden.

When a couples carefully made plans unfold during their wedding, we love to see the personal details they've chosen come to life as the newly weds gather with their guests, celebrating and enjoying their favourite spots within our venue.
Charlotte and Alex made lots of little quote boards for their wedding, which they dotted throughout the gardens and grounds on their wedding day.
Our favourite board from their wedding is this well known quote of Piglet and Winnie the Pooh. I...t reminds us of how each couple who chooses to hold their wedding with us at Coombe Trenchard feels a connection and love for our venue - our home.
